Chapter 7 Following Mommy Back to the Hotel

"Now you're all over me, but why'd you want a divorce back then? Feeling nostalgic or something? If you're desperate for company, I bet there are tons of women ready to hop into bed with you in a second!" Tiffany shoved him away, each word making Leon lose his cool.

"Shouldn't you be in the hospital right now?" Leon grabbed her neck, squeezing tight enough to make her cough.

"Who let you out? Seems like those people are useless." He let go, almost causing her to fall.

She rubbed her neck. Leon was a real psycho. Thank God he hadn't seen Sam and Flora. If he found out about the kids, who knows what he'd do.

"Today's Jujia's death anniversary. Can't I pay my respects?" Tiffany shot him a fierce glare.

"If it weren't for your tricks with Jujia, do you think I'd have married you? Now you want to act all innocent at her grave? Tiffany, you're a snake! Only naive Jujia would've fallen for your crap!" Leon spat out, his fists clenched so tight they cracked. If she wasn't so heartless, she wouldn't have ditched Barry!

Leon had left the cemetery but saw Tiffany through his car window. Initially, he thought she was still in the hospital and brushed it off. However, a nagging feeling prompted him to return and locate her.

Tiffany almost laughed at his accusation. Venomous? Where did he get that idea?

He was the one who was cold and heartless!

While she cursed him in her mind, Leon sent a message to his secretary.

Soon, a bunch of bodyguards showed up and dragged Tiffany away.

"Leon! Let me go!" she yelled.

"Mr. Cooper, there's a meeting at the company," the secretary whispered.

"Take her to the hospital and keep a close watch. If she escapes again, you're all fired!" Leon ordered and left with his secretary.

Tiffany cursed Leon a million times in her head as the bodyguards shoved her into a car.

"Tess, follow that car! We need to rescue Mommy!" Flora anxiously grabbed the seat.

The three of them, concerned about Tiffany, stayed close, waiting for Leon to depart. Tess then accelerated, following his car.

Barry had seen his dad earlier, but why was he locking Tiffany up?

The car arrived at the hospital, and Flora quickly jumped out. Barry followed.

The two kids sneaked to the special care ward, but Barry boldly walked up to the bodyguards. Flora was about to pull him back when she heard them call him "Mr. Barry Cooper."

Flora was confused. She didn't catch the rest of the conversation but saw the bodyguards obediently open the door, and Barry led Tiffany out.

Flora was shocked! Was it really that easy?

Tiffany followed Barry out and saw Flora and Tess.

Everyone was relieved to see Tiffany safe.

"Sam is so smart, and Flora is so brave." Tiffany patted their heads affectionately.

By the time they got back to the hotel, it was night.

"Sam, what do you want to eat? Mommy will cook tonight." Tiffany pinched his cheek and smiled.

Barry touched his face, feeling a bit confused. This was a new experience for him.

At home, it was always the servants who cooked, and no one ever asked him what he wanted to eat.

"Mommy, let's have Sam's favorite BBQ ribs!" Flora eagerly raised her hand, twirling in front of Barry, her big eyes shining brightly as she looked at Tiffany.

Tiffany chuckled and pinched her nose, doting on her, "I think it's not Sam who wants to eat, but you, little glutton."

"Well, Sam will definitely like it too, right? Sam!" Flora held Barry's hand and giggled.

Observing Tiffany and Flora's natural interaction, Barry felt a tinge of sadness. Tiffany's evident fondness for children raised the question: why not him?

Barry tightly clutched his clothes, and Flora took the opportunity to mention the lost watch.

"It's okay, Mommy will buy another one in a few days," Tiffany said as she opened the fridge, washed some fruit, peeled it, and fed a grape to Flora.

"Sweet," Flora said.

Tiffany peeled another grape and handed it directly to Barry.

Barry hesitated for a moment but opened his mouth. Just as Flora said, it was very sweet.

The question buried deep in Barry's heart weighed heavily on his throat, unsure of how to ask.

Tiffany went to the kitchen to cook, and Flora took Barry around, playing hide and seek. Barry reluctantly searched for her, always finding Flora accurately.

Flora would take the opportunity to act pitiful, begging her brother for another chance.

Barry felt unfamiliar with this warmth that arose from the bottom of his heart.

Even a bit overwhelmed.

Half an hour later, Tiffany brought out the dishes, the aroma filling the air.

Flora, unable to resist, grabbed a rib. It was so hot that her mouth kept twitching.

Barry naturally handed her a cup of water.

"Thank you, Sam." Flora quickly thanked him.

Tiffany also served Barry some food, "Sam, give Mom's cooking a shot. You seemed a bit low on energy today. If you ain't feeling right, make sure to let Mom know."

Barry nodded silently, eating the BBQ ribs with his head down.

'Delicious!' Barry thought. His eyes lit up, but he quickly restrained his expression.

Even though he knew her kindness, the fact that she abandoned him remained.

At night, Tiffany, concerned about Barry's fever, stayed by his side, breaking down the barriers in his heart. He slept peacefully in her embrace..

At this moment, Leon returned to the villa and found a message from the hospital.

It said Barry had taken Tiffany away.

Leon frowned. He thought of his son's words today. It seemed his son had met Tiffany beforehand.

But he had ordered his son to be brought back, yet he secretly went to the hospital to see her!

"Tiffany, you've got some nerve leading Barry on like that!" Leon turned to investigate Tiffany's current residence.

Suddenly, his phone screen lit up. It was a message from his secretary. Leon had to attend a grand opening ceremony tomorrow, and Tiffany would be there too.

Leon sneered coldly. It seemed she couldn't be confined. In that case, he resolved to unravel the mystery the next day.

"Tiffany, I ain't ever gonna let you snatch my boy away! You ain't fit to be Barry's real mom!" Leon murmured.

The next day, Tiffany settled the two children in the lounge of the LuxuriaGrand.

"Sam, Flora, Mommy has some work to do. I'll be back when I'm finished. Behave yourselves, and if you need anything, just call Mom." Tiffany waved to them and turned to close the door.

Just as she reached the corner, a familiar figure appeared, and Tiffany had no time to escape.

It was Leon again!
