CHAPTER 2

WILLOW

It’s been like this, every night since I turned eighteen—two weeks ago.

The same vivid dream that leaves me feeling shaken, breathless, and filled with a hunger I don’t understand. I don’t know why I keep having these dreams, why they’re so intense, so real, or why they leave me yearning for something I’ve never experienced.

At first, my dreams had only been about kissing and a bit of making out—but last night, we went further. Just thinking about it makes me blush.

I take a steady breath, trying to steady my mind. I’m a virgin, and these dreams awaken feelings I hardly know how to handle. But maybe it’s time to let go, to satisfy this strange ache by being with someone who truly cares for me.

To Leo—the boy who’s been so patient, so kind, the boy I love.

Maybe these dreams are my body’s way of telling me that I’m ready—ready to experience sex for the first time.

........

I gazed at my reflection in the mirror, warm lamplight casting a soft glow over my features. I saw the mix of excitement and nervousness in my eyes, so different from my usual, composed self.

All my life, I’d kept my heart guarded, pouring myself into studies and books, never letting myself get swept up in the uncertainties of love.

But Leo changed everything. Our meeting on the university football field had sparked something in me, something undeniable. Slowly, his charm and kindness melted the walls I’d built, drawing me in closer. Even so, I’d always been hesitant to go further. Leo respected that, never pressuring me, always understanding.

But tonight was different.

I’d made up my mind. I wanted to share something special with him—a moment that would show just how deep my feelings ran. My heart fluttered as I ran a brush through my hair, each stroke calming my nerves as I took in my reflection.

I’d chosen my dress carefully, something elegant yet simple, something that felt like me. I let my fingers trace the lace, trying to steady my racing heart. When I checked the clock, I realized Leo was probably already waiting for me.

One last look in the mirror, a deep breath, and I whispered to myself, “You’ve got this, Willow.” With my purse in hand, I stepped out of my dorm and headed toward his place, each step echoing in the stillness of the hall.

..........

When I reached Leo’s house, I noticed the door was slightly ajar. Strange. I stepped inside quietly, setting my bag down as I called out, “Leo?” My voice barely filled the room, but silence greeted me. I called his name again, a bit louder, my heart starting to race as I moved through the empty rooms, heading toward his bedroom.

Just as I reached his door, I froze. I could hear him. And he wasn’t alone.

My heart hammered in my chest as his voice, moaning in pleasure, hit my ears.

“Oh, yes! Yes! Yes! Don’t stop! Just like that, fuck!”

I stood there, feeling the blood drain from my face, the disbelief hitting me like a physical blow.

No. This can’t be happening.

Taking a shaky breath, I forced myself to push the door open. And there he was, tangled up in bed with another girl, their bodies wrapped around each other under the dim light.

“I know what you like, Amy,” he murmurs, his hardness brushing against her entrance.

“Fuck you feel so good...I love being inside you. Do you like it when I take you like this?” He thrusts fully, his eyes closing in pleasure, a moan slipping from her lips.

"Yes...fuck yes!" The girl all but screams

His eyes were black with need. “God, I needed this,” he groans, lowering his hot mouth onto hers.

I stand there, frozen in shock…

"L-leo.."

I felt a tear slip down my cheek, my heart shattering as Leo looked up, his face going from shock to guilt in an instant.

“W-Willow…”

He scrambled away from her, but she just giggled, covering herself with the sheets, her face flushing as she looked at me with mild embarrassment. I struggled to speak, my voice breaking.

“L-Leo…?”

He sighed, standing there, completely unashamed in his nakedness.

"I’d say it’s not what it looks like... but it seems I’ve been caught," he said, a lazy smirk playing on his lips as he glanced at the redhead beside him before meeting my eyes again.

“Why, Leo?” My voice trembled, the betrayal hitting me like a slap.

“Oh, please,” he scoffed. “Don’t act surprised, Willow. You practically drove me to this.”

The words were like a slap. I took a step back, stunned. “What…what are you talking about?”

He stood up, his voice icy. "You wouldn’t sleep with me. Did you think I'd wait forever? Not even a damn kiss… You’ve made this relationship exhausting. All that talk about waiting, about being ready—it’s ridiculous."

My hands balled into fists, anger flashing through me. “I wanted our first time to be special,” I shouted, a tear slipping down my cheek.

He let out a mocking laugh. “Special? Are you kidding? It’s just sex, Willow. Not everything has to be some fairy tale. Not everyone is going to wait around for your perfect little moment. Grow up.”

I felt the sting of his words, the cruelty in them.

"You told me you loved me!"

"Yeah, of course I did. I'd say anything to get into those damn panties… but you kept them locked up like Fort Knox."

".."

“Well, if you’re done here, Willow, we’re kind of busy…unless you want to join us?” He smirked as he looked at the girl in his bed, who stifled a giggle.

I bit back the pain, steeling myself. My gaze flicked to the girl lying beside him. “You know what?” I said, a bitter smile tugging at my lips.

“Enjoy yourself. Though, by the look of it, he doesn’t have much to offer.”

“What the hell…” he snapped, face turning red.

I didn’t give him a chance to finish. Turning, I walked out, slamming the door behind me. The cool night air hit me as I stepped outside, the sting of tears blurring my vision. The night I’d planned as a turning point, a memory to cherish, had turned into a nightmare.

I took a deep, shaky breath, forcing myself to stand tall. I glanced back at his house one last time, the cold glow of the porch light illuminating the betrayal that would haunt me. My heart ached, the memory of him with her slicing through me, but I clenched my jaw, refusing to shed another tear. He didn’t deserve them.

With a quick swipe of my fingers across my cheeks, I squared my shoulders, turned, and walked away, each step carrying me farther from him, from his lies, and from the girl I’d almost let myself become.
