Chapter 7 Monica, You're Courting Death!

Monica instinctively glanced at the number on her phone. It looked like it was Justin's.

As soon as she answered, Justin's voice came through, "Hey, Mrs. Robinson, Mr. Robinson wants you to wrap up shopping and head home soon."

"I'm not done yet." Monica rubbed her temples and shot a glare at Laura. If it weren't for Laura, she would have been done by now!

"Just hurry up. Mr. Robinson is waiting for you to pick him up," Justin urged over the phone.

Monica was speechless and thought, 'He's supposed to be pretending to be unconscious. Why does she need to pick him up?'

But she couldn't say much. "I know; I'll be quick."

Her phone call, however, aroused Henry's suspicion. He squinted and questioned, "Who are you talking to?"

He had looked into Monica's background. She was either studying or working part-time. She didn't have a boyfriend.

"Who I call is none of your business," Monica coldly retorted, her eyes icy, not giving Henry any respect.

Hey, enraged, tried to snatch the phone from her hand, but Monica quickly dodged, preventing him from succeeding.

A vicious glint flashed in Henry's eyes. "You better behave while you're with the Robinson family. If you dare mess around, I'll chop your mom into pieces and feed her to the dogs!"

"You wouldn't dare!" Monica couldn't believe Henry could be so heartless.

They had been married for years, and Henry owed everything he had to Kathie.

A man like him deserved a terrible end!

Henry smirked, "What wouldn't I dare? Do you want me to chop off Kathie's fingers and send them to you?"

"No! Are you out of your mind?" Monica shouted in panic.

Even though Brandon had intervened, Kathie was still in Henry's hands. She couldn't risk anything happening to Kathie.

Henry sneered, "So, do you still want to negotiate with me?"

Monica clenched her fists tightly.

Laura seized the opportunity, "Monica, apologize to me now! Or I'll have Dad stop Kathie's medication!"

"Are you sure you want me to apologize? Don't forget, I'm Brandon's wife now," Monica gritted her teeth.

She would never apologize to Laura!

Laura's expression changed, and Henry realized the situation. He gave Laura a look, and she stepped back behind him.

Henry's presence was intimidating. "You better treat Angelina well. Don't think the Robinson family will help you. Your only value now is to stay with Mr. Robinson. If you comply, Kathie will remain safe."

Otherwise, Kathie would be dead.

Monica wanted to tear Henry's face apart, to dismember him, but she knew she had to endure.

"I want to join the Evans Company. If you don't let me, I won't go to the Robinson Mansion tonight. Let the Robinson family come find you. If my mom dies, I won't live either."

Henry wanted to control her, to keep her obedient in the Robinson family, and not let her join the Evans Company. She was scared, but she still had some leverage.

Otherwise, she would be at Henry's mercy forever, leading to a dead end.

She couldn't let Henry continue to be so arrogant.

But before Henry could respond, Wayne walked out from another room.

Wayne's eyes flashed with a fierce glint when he saw her.

At that moment, Wayne looked like a venomous snake.

"What a coincidence! Are you here to pick me up?" Wayne hadn't forgotten how Monica had sent him to the police.

Monica didn't expect Wayne to be released so soon.

She didn't know if she could rely on Henry, but now, she instinctively hid behind him. "Who came to pick you up? This is the police station, don't cause trouble, and my dad is here!"

Henry's face was filled with anger. "Monica, I'll deal with you later!"

The marriage with the Robinson family was arranged by Angelina. Besides her, no one from the Robinson family had come. Henry didn't know Wayne.

He assumed Wayne was just a thug Monica had provoked.

Henry met Wayne's gaze, but the next second, Wayne smiled and turned to leave.

Wayne's look sent a chill down Monica's spine.

She had to tell Brandon about this.

But before she could take out her phone, Henry yanked her forward.

Caught off guard, she was slapped hard by Henry.

Henry glared at her, "Monica, if you want to die, don't drag us down! You're married to Mr. Robinson now, how dare you get involved with other men?"

This was in the police station! If Henry dared to hit her, she couldn't imagine what he'd do if Kathie wasn't in his hands. She really wanted to fight to the death.

Monica gritted her teeth, "If you're so scared, you then give me what I asked for. Otherwise, you'll all go down with me! And if you don't want me to make a scene, keep your precious daughter Laura away from me!"

She was also Henry's daughter, but he didn't see her that way.

Henry didn't expect Monica to resist so fiercely this time.

But the police were starting to notice them, and he couldn't do anything to Monica in the police station. He had to suppress his anger.

"Monica, if you want to go against me, I'll call and have Kathie's things sent to you now."

With that, Henry took out his phone.

Monica watched him dial a number.

A few seconds later, the call connected, and Henry even gave her a taunting look. "Now you send Kathie's things..."

Monica grabbed Henry's phone and smashed it to the ground.
