Chapter 14 The Ungrateful Bitch
At night, the nightclub was buzzing with life, music and laughter blending together.
Kian Ross had invited his buddies to hang out at his club.
After wrapping up a bunch of tasks, he was about to join his friends in a private room.
As he strolled down a hallway, he noticed a group of people hurriedly dragging an unconscious-looking girl into a private room.
The girl's profile made him stop in his tracks; she looked a lot like Lewis's first girlfriend.
Curious, Kian headed to his own private room.
As soon as he walked in, he saw Lewis sitting on the sofa, looking serious and giving off a vibe that made people think twice about approaching him.
Kian walked over and gave Lewis a pat on the shoulder.
"You gathered us but showed up last, you owe us three drinks," Brett said with a grin.
"I can explain. I saw something weird," Kian quickly said. "I just saw a girl being taken into a private room by a bunch of guys. She looks like Lewis's first girlfriend."
Lewis, holding a wine glass, darkened his eyes, and his calm demeanor instantly turned icy. "Did you see if the girl had a scar on her face?"
As soon as Lewis finished speaking, Brett exclaimed, "No way? That girl looked pretty innocent, I didn't expect her to..."
His words trailed off under Lewis's dark expression.
"I didn't notice, I only saw her side profile," Kian said, stunned.
He remembered Clea's face because Lewis's phone wallpaper was a photo of her, unchanged for five years.
The nightclub's dim lighting made it impressive that he could recognize a girl who looked like Clea.
"Which private room?" Lewis stood up and walked out.
In front of friends who knew the truth, he never pretended to be disabled by sitting in a wheelchair.
Seeing how much Lewis cared, Kian dropped his joking attitude and told him the room number.
"I'm stepping out for a bit," Lewis said, and with that, he left the private room, his steps quick.
Those who knew Lewis well knew he rarely showed his emotions, even when facing world leaders, he stayed calm and composed.
In the private room, they exchanged glances and turned to Brett who knew the details, with a gossipy expression.
Brett shrugged, not daring to say anything.
Meanwhile, in another private room, Aria slowly woke up in intense pain.
She felt like her head had been hit with a sledgehammer, the pain unbearable.
She tried to move but found herself tightly bound, a strong sense of unease rising in her heart.
"Aria, you ungrateful bitch," Earl's malicious voice came out.
"What do you want?" Aria suppressed her fear and looked up at Earl.
"Do you think you're special just because you can sing? All your current glory is thanks to my parents' charity," Earl said, yanking Aria's hair.
He hated Aria's condescending attitude; she was just a pitiful girl without a mother or a father's love.
"You are my brother and we share the same father. Even if I had taken advantage of the York family's power, which I haven't, it would still be fair," Aria said coldly.
"I'm not your brother. Ungrateful bitch, if it weren't for my parents' kindness, you would have been kicked out of the York family long ago. How dare you embarrass Laura in public, today I'll teach you a lesson." As he spoke, Earl's accomplices had already set up recording equipment.
"Earl, don't do this, it's a crime, you'll ruin yourself," Aria frowned, her fear and unease growing.
"Crime? In this city, there's nothing I can't handle," Earl sneered, his eyes full of arrogance.
Aria tried to stay calm, knowing she had to stall Earl and find a chance to escape.
"Do you think you will help Laura by doing this? You're pushing her towards crime."
"Stop talking nonsense, I only know you made Laura suffer, and I'll make you pay," Earl roared.
He let go of Aria's hair, causing her to fall to the ground from the pain and momentum.
But she had no time to focus on the pain; she was scanning for escape routes while stalling him.
"Your impulsiveness will bring great trouble to the family, you'll ruin the York family's reputation," Aria continued.
"I don't care, as long as I can ruin you, it's worthy," Earl, blinded by anger, couldn't think past his rage.
As Aria anxiously thought of a way to escape, something even more terrifying happened.
Earl gave a sinister smile to his accomplices. "You guys go gang-rape her, record the process, and let everyone see her disgrace. Let's see how she mingles in high society then."
The accomplices laughed uproariously.
"Don't worry, Mr. York, we'll take good care of her."
"We'll make sure she remembers this!"
Their eyes were filled with greed and lewdness as they approached Aria step by step.
Aria's eyes widened in terror; she had to stay calm to find a way to escape. "You bastards, stay away! I'm about to marry into the Windsor family. If you dare touch me, I won't let you off!"
"The Windsor family? Stop talking nonsense. Billy doesn't even like you. Why would the Windsor family? Stop pestering Billy. He and Laura are meant to be. You're about to be gang-raped; what do you have to compete with Laura?" Earl urged the accomplices to act quickly, laughing happily.
At this critical moment, as Aria even thought of perishing together, the private room door was suddenly kicked open with a loud bang.
Lewis's tall and imposing figure appeared at the door, his eyes icy cold, the killing intent in them making everyone shiver.
The accomplices were intimidated by his aura, frozen in place, not daring to move.
Without hesitation, Lewis moved with boldness and struck swiftly.
With a few quick moves, he kicked down the accomplices near Aria.
The accomplices didn't even have time to resist, lying on the ground groaning in pain.
Seeing Lewis, Earl's face turned pale.
The accomplices might not know, but Earl recognized this man known as the Grim Reaper.
"Mr. Windsor, why are you here?" Earl's arrogance vanished, replaced by fear and flattery.
"Who allowed you to touch her?" Lewis took off his suit jacket and draped it over Aria's shoulders.
His long fingers deftly untied the ropes on her body.
Seeing this, Earl recalled Aria's earlier words. Could it be that the Windsor family really favored Aria?
Was she going to marry Lewis, the man feared in both business and politics?
Thinking of this, Earl's legs went weak, and he knelt on the ground.
He quickly begged for mercy, "Mr. Windsor, I know I was wrong. I was just impulsive. Please be merciful, spare me this time."
"That depends on Miss York's attitude," Lewis's sharp gaze softened slightly when he looked at Aria.
Earl immediately understood, Lewis was here to stand up for Aria.
It seemed they really had a relationship!
"Aria, I'm your brother, please ask Mr. Windsor to spare me!" Earl, seeing a glimmer of hope, spoke more forcefully.
Aria didn't consider herself a kind person. If you repay evil with kindness, how then can kindness be repaid?
"I'm an ungrateful bitch, how could I be your sister?" Aria sneered, throwing Earl's words back at him.
"You..." Earl was at a loss for words, his fake crying turning genuine, pitifully begging, "Aria, I won't dare again. I'll obey you from now on."
Earl hugged Aria's leg, crying miserably.
Lewis's eyes darkened. He kicked away the hands holding Aria's leg without a word, his expression indifferent as he looked at Aria. "What do you plan to do?"
