Chapter 074 Do You Really Have to Be Jealous of Even This?
"Not really," Timothy sighed. Amelia's pace couldn't be rushed, so he just went with it and gently patted her head. "Alright, I won't push you. I promise not to tell your dad about this. I can even help your daddy win mommy back, okay?"
Sophia's eyes lit up. She wanted to say thank you but held back. She couldn't speak.
Instead, she climbed onto Timothy's shoulder and kissed his cheek to show her gratitude.
Timothy was stunned, looking at her in disbelief. She used to avoid him, but now she was responding to him and even kissed him.
For someone without kids, this was a first, and he was almost over the moon.
Even as they returned to the Smith Villa, he was still on cloud nine.
Alexander was sitting in the living room, waiting for the kids. Seeing Timothy's goofy, absent-minded look, he frowned. "Have you lost your mind?"
Timothy ignored him and said excitedly, "Alexander, guess what?"
"What?" Alexander still looked indifferent, not interested.
"Amelia kissed me! She actually kissed me!"
Alexander's expression changed immediately.
He looked at his daughter sternly. "Amelia, what's going on? Didn't Daddy tell you that besides me and Daniel, you can't be all touchy-feely with any other man, let alone kiss him? Did you forget?"
Sophia was stunned, glanced at Timothy, and frowned cutely. Wasn't Timothy one of their own? How did he become an outsider?
"Don't look at him!" Alexander commanded in a deep voice.
Sophia was startled, not knowing what she had done wrong. Was it such a big deal? Alexander was too overbearing!
Even though William wasn't happy about Alexander scolding Sophia, he knew Alexander was right, so he stayed silent.
Only Timothy was immediately unhappy and said to Alexander, "Hey, Alexander, what's your deal? Amelia just kissed me to say thanks. Besides, I'm not an outsider. To me, Amelia is like a daughter. What's wrong with her kissing me? Are you seriously jealous of this?"
Alexander ignored him and looked at Sophia sternly. "I'm telling you one last time. Besides Daddy and Daniel, you can't kiss any other man. Got it?"
Sophia didn't understand why Alexander was so angry. Monica had never spoken to her so harshly. How could he be so stern with her?
She crossed her arms and turned her face away, showing her displeasure.
But Alexander wasn't backing down. He had to teach her about boundaries so she wouldn't be easily taken advantage of by men.
Timothy, seeing Alexander's protective side for the first time, was amused and deliberately said, "Alexander, that's not right. There will always be a third man in this world, like..."
But Alexander shot him a stern look, and Timothy clammed up.
This topic was a bit too mature for a five-year-old. Alexander hadn't broached it yet and wasn't about to let Timothy do it now.
The room got a bit tense.
Alexander turned to William. "I haven't asked you yet. Where did you go? Why are you back so late?"
"Timothy took us to dinner. We ran into Grandpa and the others. He was supposed to bring us back, but Grandma suddenly felt unwell and delayed the time, so he asked Timothy to bring us back," William explained.
Alexander was already fuming and didn't want to make it worse, so he answered obediently.
Alexander nodded and then looked at Sophia. She was still sulking from his earlier scolding.
He pulled her close, softened his tone, and said, "Alright, I'm not mad at you. I'm just worried you'll get hurt by bad men. Amelia, be good, don't be mad at Daddy, okay?"
She reluctantly nodded.
"Alright, it's getting late. Go upstairs and rest," Alexander said.
William took Sophia upstairs.
Timothy was still miffed about being called a "bad man," but seeing Alexander's bandaged arm, he was taken aback and asked, "What happened to your arm?"
"It's just a minor injury, no big deal."
Timothy wasn't buying it. "You're the president of the Smith Group. Who would dare to mess with you? And this doesn't look like a minor injury."
"Keep your voice down," Alexander warned, not wanting to alarm the kids.
But Timothy didn't think such a small scene would scare them.
Upstairs.
As soon as William entered the room, Daniel called.
Not long ago, Monica had returned home.
Even though she tried to conceal it and didn't want the kids to notice anything out of the ordinary, Amelia still caught on.
Daniel wanted to ask her what happened, but seeing Monica's tired face, he couldn't bring himself to.
The kids took care of her until she lay down. Then, feeling down, they saw the video of Monica being surrounded and attacked by Bertha and the Brown family at the restaurant. Daniel's little face turned cold.
He pulled Amelia into his room, locked the door, and opened the video again. Before he finished watching, he was furious, pacing around the room, muttering, "How dare they bully my mommy? I must teach them a lesson!"
He was plotting his revenge.
Another video was also uploaded online, showing the Brown family and Bertha pooping in public.
Daniel watched it and immediately laughed. He knew it was Sophia's doing, so he called William.
William knew this guy was up to no good and didn't want Alexander to find out, so he went to Sophia's room, locked the door, and answered the call.
Before he could say anything, Daniel excitedly said, "Was it you guys? I knew it was you, right?"
