2-The friend of my boss.
POV - Viktor Sorrentino.
"What a rage of Vittoria Castelli." I think as I watch my secretary leave.
Vittoria was someone who made my life a real hell. And it still does, because it haunts my thoughts and prevents me from going about life normally. Since then, I have been breaking the hearts of those who lie in the same bed as me.
And Eleonora Vitale would be another one. But there is a small "though", first I will use her to hit Vittoria. I plan to take her to the ball and present her as my bride. The same would be perfect for this role because the more I provoked her more it seemed that she was going away and at least not have her stuck to my neck after everything ended.
Go to the cellar, get a bottle of wine, and then serve myself.
"Nothing better than celebrating what is already earned." I smile maliciously while taking a sip of the drink. (...)
I look at the watch on my wrist, I see that it is past eleven o'clock in the evening. I stand up and feel in my spine the consequences of having been in the same position for several hours.
Likewise, I collect my suit that was resting on a small sofa and make sure the car keys and my wallet are in my pockets, so I'm sure they are and I leave my office. I'm surprised to see that Eleonora Vitale is still working, which is strange since she always leaves early.
"Miss Vitale, still around?" My voice seems to scare her and she looks at me incredulously, putting her hands on her chest. A gesture that made me look at her breasts full and bulky, even being covered by a sweater without grace, did not go unnoticed.
"Sorry sir, but I'm anticipating some things for tomorrow. And before I go, I would go to your office to talk with you about it, but since you're here I will speak soon." Take a breath and keep saying, "I want to ask you to leave early tomorrow." I raise my eyebrow and hope she says something else but remains silent.
"And why are you leaving early?" I ask, trying to disguise my curiosity.
"I have a very important appointment." He says and looks away, avoiding my gaze.
"I understand, while the prom issue, do not worry about the dress. I will be in charge of delivering it on Friday night."
"You needn't have bothered, sir." Speak and lower your head.
"I want it to look stunning. That's not a request, but an order!" I say between my teeth and she frowns, then without adding anything, I leave.

POV - Eleonora Vitale.
"Idiot!" I sigh. "He didn't even offer a ride, even though he knew he would refuse."
(...)
Finally finished everything that is pending for tomorrow, the agenda of Mr. Sorrentino is ready and I already left it on your desk, because I will go to the cemetery in the morning and probably have no head to come to work. Leaning against the chair feeling exhausted.
This is the sad part of my life: "The death of my parents." They died a few years ago. My mother died of heart failure and I was only fifteen. At the time, Dad was so devastated over the three years that he ended up taking his own life. So I had to get a job very early, to pay for college tuition. And here I am, working in a profession that has nothing to do with what I chose to study.
I started to store my things when a door opened in front of me. Revealing Renzo Ferrari, partner and best friend of Mr. Sorrentino. He throws me a suggestive smile and almost throws me for the whole.
Falls between us, he is a sight pleasant to the eyes, as well as Viktor. But as for my boss, his arrogance and coldness erased all his beauty.
"Miss, good night." Your hoarse voice makes my hair shudder. "Still around?"
"Good evening, Mr. Ferrari." I smile lightly. "Yes, I needed to advance some things for tomorrow, because I can't come."
"Any trouble?" He curls his eyebrow. "In all these months, you have not missed a single day."
"Tomorrow is my mother's anniversary of death and I always go to the cemetery to visit her grave."
"Oh, is it? I'm sorry for the loss. Losing someone and especially a mother or father, it's always very painful." Nodding and down, thinking I lost both. "But I suppose someone will accompany you?!"
"Until the year before, my friend Milena was the one who accompanied me. But she is doing an exchange in Switzerland and so I will go alone." I smile sadly.
"You won't! I'll go with you." I'm surprised by what he says. "What time are you going?"
"It's... it's... I go at nine in the morning." I still stammer perplexed by what he had just said.
"It's done." He extends his hand to me and hastens to extend mine too. "I guess you'll be going home now?"
"Yes, I'm coming."
"Do you want a ride? It's dangerous to take taxis at this time," he says looking at his watch.
He's right, it was really dangerous. On the other hand, Renzo Ferrari has the biggest reputation for paying, and for sure people will think we are going out or something...
But it doesn't hurt me to accept! And he's being kind.
"I do." I smile and then we walk to the elevator.
