Chapter 2

Aurora didn't believe Michael would give her any good resources. Even if it was good, he would end up giving it to Bianca.

Did Michael really think she was so stupid that she would believe anything he said?

Without waiting for Michael to say anything else, Aurora walked past him and went downstairs, soon followed by the sound of a door closing.

Michael was furious, looking in the direction of the villa door, clenching his fists, "Aurora's temper is really spoiled. She doesn't listen at all, unlike Bianca, who is so obedient."

Aurora stood outside the villa door, glancing back at the villa with a hint of sarcasm in her eyes.

She had always longed for love and the warmth of a family. In her previous life, after being found, she constantly gave in, no matter how excessive Bianca was. As long as her mother said a few kind words and her brothers frowned, she didn't mind, fearing to upset her family.

As long as it was for the good of her family, she could endure any hardship and tolerate any grievance, living a life even worse than a servant.

But in the end, the Johnson family still thought she was ungrateful and scolded her for not being appreciative. In their eyes, she could never compare to Bianca.

Until the end, when she was stalked and kidnapped, pushed from a building, the Johnson family was still busy fussing over Bianca's sprained ankle.

She still remembered the feeling of her bones shattering when she fell from the building.

The so-called family affection of the Johnson family, she no longer wanted it.

Maybe she was too pitiful. After her death, she accidentally activated a system, continuously completing tasks to get a chance to live again.

However, her original lifespan was too short, with only a brief life line.

Even if she lived another life, she didn't have much time left. To live longer, she had to change her original fate. As long as she gained more people's affection, she could extend her life line.

The longer the life line, the longer she would live.

Thinking of this, Aurora withdrew her gaze and turned to leave. After a while, she returned with several documents.

When she entered, the Johnson family had already finished breakfast and were sitting in the living room. Seeing her return, their faces simultaneously darkened.

Aurora pretended not to see them, spreading the documents on the coffee table in front of them.

"Sign these if there are no issues."

Aurora stood aside, placing a pen on each document and a bank card on the side.

The documents were about her guardianship, a total of six, all signed by her.

The bank card was given to her by her father when she first returned to the Johnson Villa, saying it was "pocket money." She hadn't spent a penny, but every time they belittled her, they would add, "We spend money to support you, and this is how you repay us?"

Her mother picked up one of the documents, glanced at it, and stood up from the sofa in anger, "What nonsense are you up to now? Do you have to make a mess of the house to be happy?"

Aurora looked at her mother expressionlessly, her voice devoid of any emotion, "Isn't this what you've always wanted? I'm just following your wishes."

Michael picked up his guardianship document, tore it to pieces, and threw it in Aurora's face, "I just asked you to give Bianca a chance, and you threaten us with severing ties? How can you be so unreasonable?"

Aurora sneered, casually brushing off the paper scraps from her head, and continued, "Do you think this is a powerful bargaining chip? Do you think I'm so cheap that I would use something insignificant to threaten you? Ridiculous."

Her third brother, Aiden Johnson, looked at her with a mocking expression, "You just don't want Bianca to have a chance to succeed, afraid she'll outshine you, so you came up with this idea, right?"

Her fourth brother, Chase Johnson, also scolded, "Aurora, you just can't stand seeing the family doing well. You've picked up so many bad habits in the countryside, and only we tolerate them. Apologize to Mom, give the spot to Bianca, and this will be over."

Bianca hadn't said a word from the beginning, just sitting on the sofa with a smug look at Aurora.

In this family, Bianca never needed to say or do anything. Whatever she wanted or wanted to do, her five brothers would do it for her.

Aurora glanced at Chase and sneered, "No need. I'm just informing you today. I don't care what you think."

"From now on, we have nothing to do with each other. My last name is Smith, not Johnson."

Aurora finished speaking and walked out without waiting for their reaction, "From now on, no one in your family will cause trouble. It will definitely be peaceful."

Aurora didn't care about such a family at all. If she could choose, she would rather return the blood that flowed in her veins back to them.

In her previous life, she was left at the amusement park entrance by her brother, quickly got lost, and was almost taken by human traffickers. Fortunately, she met a teacher and narrowly escaped.

The few people in the living room were stunned for a moment when they saw that Aurora seemed determined to leave, then exchanged glances.

They didn't believe that Aurora would really sever ties with them. After all, her original life couldn't compare to the Johnson family's life. Even the house she lived in wasn't as good as the Johnson family's maid's quarters.

Seeing that Aurora was really about to leave, Bianca finally stood up from the sofa, pretended to run towards the door, and reached out to grab her:

"Aurora, don't be like this. I didn't mean to compete with you for this spot. As long as you don't leave, I'll agree to anything. Don't argue with your brothers, or mom and dad will be heartbroken."

Aurora stopped, turned around, and frowned at the hand on her arm, then looked up at Bianca's face.

She clearly saw a hint of provocation in her eyes.

Bianca, with her back to the others on the sofa, had a look of triumph that no one else could see. She was doing it on purpose.

On the surface, she pretended to be understanding, but in reality, she took all the benefits.

In the past, Aurora would have exposed Bianca on the spot, but now she wouldn't. After all, these people wouldn't believe her no matter what she said.

"Bianca, isn't this exactly what you want? Why are you pretending to be a good person?"

Aurora sneered and looked at the people behind Bianca, continuing to sneer, "Since you can agree to anything, why don't you explain what you've done? Do you dare?"

Bianca's face turned a bit ugly, and her body suddenly went limp as if she was about to collapse. Fortunately, Aiden walked over in time to support her.

"Aurora, did you misunderstand something? I've never done anything to wrong you. Why are you so hostile towards me? What did I do wrong? Tell me, and I'll change."

Bianca leaned on Aiden's shoulder, trying to cry but no tears came out. Her acting was terrible, but the Johnson family members all glared at Aurora.

"No need, I can't accept your apology. You're just pretending to be pitiful to really drive me out of the Johnson family. Don't worry, I'll leave on my own."

Aurora couldn't be bothered to argue with Bianca. She was sick of hearing Bianca's words.

"Chase, please persuade Aurora. If she really doesn't like me, I'll leave. After all, she's the real daughter of the Johnson family, and I'm just a fake."

Bianca started to wipe her tears again. Her mother, Sophia Brown, couldn't stand it anymore and walked over to hug her, gently patting her back.

"Bianca, don't be sad. As long as I'm here, no one can drive you away. I say you're the Johnson family's daughter, and you are."

"That's right, Bianca. Don't listen to Aurora. She's just being petty."

Chase chimed in.

Bianca didn't say anything, just leaned on Sophia's shoulder and subtly curled her lips.

So what if Aurora was the biological daughter? The Johnson family still revolved around her. No one could take anything from her, not even something she didn't want.

"I don't have time to watch you perform your mother-daughter act. I'm really touched. When you're done, don't forget to sign the agreement."

Aurora impatiently looked at Sophia, arms crossed. When she was first found by the Johnson family, they urged her to bring her passport. Now that she wanted to leave, it was really troublesome.

"Aurora, stop saying sarcastic things. Bianca has been with us all these years, being filial and bringing us joy. What about you? What were you doing then?"

Sophia frowned at Aurora, paused, and continued, "Bianca took care of us all these years in your place. She just wants you to give her a spot on a show as compensation, and you want to sever ties with us? You're too selfish."

"You owe her, not me. If you want to compensate, do it yourself. Don't threaten me. Besides, you've taught Bianca everything over the years. I haven't learned anything."

Aurora's words successfully left Sophia speechless, but she couldn't do anything about it. After all, the Johnson family did owe her.

Her father, Eli Johnson, who had been silent, looked even more displeased, his brows furrowed tightly, and asked coldly:

"Do you mean you hate us?"

"When you got lost, we were devastated. Otherwise, we wouldn't have adopted Bianca, and we wouldn't have been searching for you all these years. Are you saying we were wrong?"
