Chapter 9 Preaching

The comments in the live stream chat were all over the place. Some were on Leonard's side, some were on Bianca's side, and some were defending Bianca and urging Leonard to be kind.

Aurora didn't know what was happening in the live stream, but she had a bit of a good impression of Leonard. After all, it was the first time she had seen a man who didn't like Bianca.

It seemed that what was said online about Leonard not liking pretentious people wasn't just a rumor.

"Alright, the conditions in the village are not as good as outside. There might be some small difficulties, and we hope everyone can find ways to overcome them. This show is meant to let everyone experience the simplest rural life."

The host glanced at a few people and continued, "Please check if you have left anything behind in your luggage. If everything is fine, we will head up the mountain."

"Everyone, watch your step, walk carefully, and stay safe."

Hearing this, even though they were reluctant, they had no choice but to grit their teeth and drag their suitcases along.

The mountain wasn't very high, but there were many trees and quite a few loose stones, making it not particularly easy to walk.

Aurora didn't bring much, just a few sets of clothes and some daily necessities. Her suitcase was the smallest, so she walked in front.

Following behind her was Joseph, whose suitcase wasn't big either. Then came Leonard, Andrew, and Ava. After them was Finn, who was dragging two suitcases, with Bianca and Mia at the end.

Bianca wasn't carrying anything. Finn was pulling her suitcase while she carefully lifted her skirt and tried to walk in high heels, attempting to look determined.

Mia was in a more awkward situation as she had brought too many things.

As they were walking, Bianca's voice suddenly came from behind. Everyone immediately stopped and turned to look. Finn was so nervous that he dropped his suitcase and ran to check on her.

"Bianca, are you okay? Are you hurt?"

Bianca was squatting on the ground, rubbing her ankle with one hand, looking at Finn with a pitiful expression like a little puppy.

"Finn, I twisted my ankle. It's my fault; I shouldn't have worn high heels."

"It's okay, it's okay. Is your ankle serious? Should we tell the director that we can't continue and go home?"

Finn looked worried, completely ignoring the expressions of the production team.

Aurora just watched coldly, a hint of mockery in her eyes. Bianca was clearly faking it, but only Finn was too blind to see it.

"No, Finn, we signed a contract. We can't breach it. It's not serious; I just need to rest for a bit."

Bianca quickly shook her head at Finn's suggestion. She just wanted to slack off, not really go home. She had worked hard to get this guest spot.

"Then I'll carry you. Get on my back."

Without another word, Finn turned around and bent over.

Bianca, however, tugged at his clothes with a troubled expression, her voice just loud enough for everyone to hear, "No, Finn, you're already carrying my suitcase. We won't be able to carry the luggage if you carry me."

Finn hesitated for a moment, then turned to look at Andrew, Leonard, and Joseph.

"How about this? I'll carry Bianca, and you guys help us with the suitcases."

Hearing this, Andrew's face showed a hint of impatience, but he didn't object and was about to step forward when Leonard's voice rang out, "Why should we?"

"Because we're all men. Can't you help a girl out? Can't you show some chivalry?"

Finn already had issues with Leonard, and hearing his words, he started lecturing Leonard.

"Chivalry? There are other girls here too. Why don't you help carry their suitcases as well?"

Leonard's words made Mia's eyes light up, and she turned to look at Finn.

"The others are fine. Bianca twisted her ankle. Didn't you see?"

Finn gritted his teeth in anger, but Leonard just sneered, "I said she has a problem with her intelligence. She knew we were going to climb a mountain and still wore high heels. I can't think of any other explanation."

"Who would have thought we'd have to climb the mountain ourselves? Can you be reasonable?"

"If she didn't think of it before, didn't she think of it before we set off? When I signed the contract, the production team informed us we'd be staying in the village for a while. I don't believe she only brought one pair of shoes. Even if she did, didn't she bring any flat sandals?"

Leonard's words left Finn speechless. This was common sense, and Bianca couldn't have forgotten.

"I'm sorry. I thought it wasn't far and that I could manage, so I didn't change. I also didn't want to waste everyone's time."

Bianca looked even more aggrieved as she glanced at Leonard, who rolled his eyes, "And now you're not worried about wasting time?"

Bianca and Finn were left speechless. Aurora stood by, watching the drama unfold, feeling even more impressed with Leonard. Listening to him scold people was truly satisfying.

"Alright, enough. Let's all say less."

Andrew, who had been watching from the side, couldn't stand seeing Bianca suffer and turned to her, "Bianca, did you bring flat shoes?"

"I did. I brought sandals. I'll change now."

Seeing the steps, Bianca quickly reached for her suitcase.

"Forget it, Bianca. You've twisted your ankle. Changing shoes won't help. I'll carry you."

Finn grabbed her wrist and then turned to Aurora, "How about you help us with one suitcase, and Andrew can take the other? I'll carry Bianca."

Suddenly being mentioned, Aurora couldn't help but roll her eyes, "Why should I? Don't you have hands?"

Finn's face turned even darker.

The atmosphere froze for a moment. Seeing that Leonard wasn't going to help her, Bianca had no choice but to change into her sandals and pretend to limp as Finn helped her continue walking.

"I really don't know why she came on this show. The guests all seem to have intelligence issues."

Leonard turned around and grumbled, just in time to meet Aurora's gaze. She was taken aback for a moment, then smiled and nodded at him.

Aurora was very satisfied with Finn's performance. She wanted everyone to see how good he was to Bianca.

Her identity was still unknown to anyone except the Johnson family and her teacher.

When she finally revealed her connection to the Johnson family, she wanted to see how the public would judge Finn for abandoning his biological sister at an amusement park while doting on an adopted sister with no blood relation.

With the intelligence of the fans, they would surely think deeper.

Aurora had always been puzzled by Bianca's hostility towards her. Even though she had always given in, Bianca was never satisfied. But later, she seemed to understand a bit.

The Johnson family had five children. Originally, Hayden and Michael had girls they liked, but Bianca had ruined those relationships for various reasons. She just wanted them to revolve around her, enjoying the feeling of being adored.
