Chapter 10

"Are we still doing this?" Gloria's voice was flat, drained of any emotion. She sounded like a robot following a script.

The room was dim, making it hard to see clearly.

But one could tell Gloria was wearing several layers of clothes.

Elodie's clothes were a bit too big for her, making Gloria look even thinner.

But when the coat fell open, revealing her curves, it was clear that Gloria wasn't lacking in flesh; it was just in all the right places.

Sebastian didn't want to admit it, but at that moment, he saw a glimpse of the Gloria from three years ago.

Three years ago, Gloria was vibrant and bold, often wearing form-fitting clothes that showed off her already stunning figure.

There were no secrets in high society. Sebastian had even heard Gloria's declarations from his friends. "Who cares if Sebastian doesn't like my personality? He's still a man. As long as he's a man, he will like my body. One day, he'll be obsessed with me!"

Back then, Sebastian thought she was reckless and would eventually get herself into trouble.

He didn't expect that day to come so quickly.

At the door, Gloria didn't wait for his answer, assuming his silence meant consent.

Her coat fell lightly to the floor as she reached behind to unhook her bra.

A suit jacket was suddenly thrown at her face.

Gloria staggered, barely managing to stay on her feet.

When she came to her senses, Sebastian was right in front of her, his large hand gripping her chin tightly.

Gloria winced in pain.

"Ms. Russell, you've really thrown away your dignity for money." Sebastian's voice was cold and filled with disdain.

Forced to meet his gaze, Gloria gave a bitter smile. "Isn't this what you wanted? I made a mistake, and I deserve to be punished."

As soon as she finished speaking, his grip on her chin tightened, as if he wanted to crush her bones.

Tears welled up in Gloria's eyes from the pain, but Sebastian showed no sign of letting go. "Look at you now. What do you think your father would say if he saw you like this?"

His words hit Gloria like a thunderbolt.

Desperately, she grabbed Sebastian's wrist. "Where is my dad? You know, don't you?"

Her father's punishment had been handed down by Sebastian himself. He had to know where he was!

Thinking of this, Gloria's tone became even more pleading. "Sebastian, please, just tell me. I just want to know if he's okay. I know you don't want to see me. I swear, once I see him, I'll leave Majestic City and never appear in front of you and Ms. Jones again!"

In her desperation, Gloria practically threw herself into Sebastian's arms.

Wearing only a bra, she was almost completely exposed from his angle.

Gloria's soft body pressed against him, and Sebastian felt a sudden surge of heat, his throat tightening.

"Don't even think about it!" With a cold remark, Sebastian pulled away, putting distance between them.

His body calmed down, and he blamed his agitation on Gloria's lack of boundaries. "You got one thing right. I don't want to see you, now or ever."

Without another glance at Gloria, Sebastian straightened his shirt and walked past her. "Using your body to get money might be easy, but that window's closing fast."

Gloria felt a wave of unease and turned to say something.

But Sebastian didn't give her the chance, leaving her with only his cold back.

"What do you want from me?" Watching him walk away, Gloria's tears fell uncontrollably.

She had fallen so low. What more did Sebastian want from her?

She just wanted to know where her family was!

After crying alone in the room for a while, Gloria picked up her coat and walked out, feeling lost.

As soon as she stepped out, she bumped into Gavin coming from the other direction.

Their eyes met, and Gavin raised an eyebrow playfully. "I was wondering where you were hiding."

Gloria paused, thinking of her tear-stained face, and lowered her head in a panic. "Hey, Mr. Miller."

Gavin, hands in his pockets, walked up to her casually. "You've been crying? Who messed with you?"

Gloria shook her head.

Gavin noticed the suit jacket she was wearing and felt a twinge of irritation.

Without thinking, he reached to take off his own jacket.

Gloria suddenly looked up, her eyes red from crying.

Gavin froze.

The next second, Gloria gathered her courage and asked him. "Mr. Miller, can you give me the money directly?"

Gavin was puzzled. "What money?"

Gloria hesitated.

She had spent the night thinking about who might be sponsoring her and concluded it had to be Gavin.

After all, he was the only one who had spoken up for her yesterday.

Everyone else knew about her history with Sebastian and wouldn't want to provoke him.

So it had to be Gavin.

But now, Gavin's reaction didn't seem like he knew about the sponsorship.

"Nothing, I just wanted to ask about yesterday's drink commission." Gloria changed the subject nonchalantly.

Gavin looked disappointed. "How much? I'll transfer it to you."

Gloria was surprised he agreed, her eyes lighting up.

They had ordered expensive drinks, so the commission would be substantial.

Gloria said, "I don't have a phone. Can you give me cash?"

Gavin didn't ask further. "Sure, I'll bring it next time."

Gloria agreed.

Gavin wanted to invite her to sit down, but Gloria declined, saying she wasn't feeling well.

Anyone who could stand up to Sebastian wasn't someone to mess with.

She was already exhausted and didn't want to provoke anyone who could easily crush her.

Gavin didn't insist, watching her leave, his gaze falling on the suit jacket she was wearing, his eyes growing cold.

He remembered seeing that jacket on Sebastian earlier that afternoon.

And now it was on Gloria.

Considering their history...

Gavin became more curious about their relationship.

Unaware of his thoughts, Gloria felt feverish and dizzy.

Barely making it to the corner, she collapsed.

Before losing consciousness, she thought she heard Elodie's voice.
