Chapter 7 Olivia Called Mom
Sienna realized she had seriously underestimated the situation. Living at The Knight Manor was convenient for treating Aria, but running into Alexander, who was clearly unstable, posed a significant danger to the children.
Before heading home, Sienna visited Olivia. The little girl sat quietly on the hospital bed, munching on an apple without a fuss. When Sienna entered, Gemma quickly stood up.
"Dr. Blake, you're here!"
Sienna smiled and took the bowl from Gemma, feeding Olivia. The little girl hesitated for a moment, her cheeks turning rosy with shyness, which made Sienna adore her even more.
"Olivia, are you scared of me treating you?"
Despite being just over three years old, Olivia was much more mature than other kids her age. While most would cry at the mention of surgery, she remained calm.
"Mommy..."
Suddenly, Olivia called out, leaving Sienna and Gemma both stunned.
"Oh my God, Olivia, you can talk!"
Worried that Gemma might scare the little girl, Sienna held Olivia in her arms. Feeling the warmth of the little body against her, Sienna's heart melted. This little girl was truly endearing.
"Olivia, what did you call me?"
"Mommy, mommy..."
This time, Olivia repeated it twice, bringing tears to Gemma's eyes.
"My sweet baby! You can talk, you can talk!"
Having cared for Olivia for so many years, this was the first time Gemma heard her speak, and she was overjoyed. Sienna was also thrilled and only left for The Knight Manor after Olivia fell asleep.
As soon as she walked in, a little figure clung to her leg.
"Mommy, did you forget about me and Henry? You were gone for so long. We were worried!"
Sienna laughed and picked up the chubby little boy, planting kisses on his cheeks, making him instantly happy.
"Mommy was working, not playing. How's Henry? Did he get his medicine?"
William nodded and pointed to Henry on the couch, shouting, "Henry's being naughty. He won't let me touch him!"
Henry rolled his eyes at his brother. "Mommy, he tried to disinfect my wound with some alcohol he found. That is not treating the illness at all; it's harming lives."
Sienna was speechless. She looked at the bottle William had brought, Everclear, with an alcohol content of 95%. Did he think the higher the alcohol content, the better the disinfectant?
"William, you can't just mess around. Aren't you afraid Henry will get back at you?"
William giggled, climbed onto the couch, and smothered Henry with kisses, driving him crazy.
"Ew, William, get off! Your slobber is gross!"
After his prank, William laughed heartily, clinging to Henry. Sienna, exasperated, separated them, then took them upstairs. She bathed the two boys, changed Henry's bandage, and only after they were sound asleep did she return to her own room.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Mason went straight to Alexander. Learning that Sienna was willing to operate on Olivia, Alexander was surprised and immediately discharged himself to go home. Upon arrival, he didn't see Sienna or the two annoying kids, which made him anxious. He quickly called for a servant.
"Where's Sienna?" Alexander demanded.
The servant looked at him, puzzled. "Mrs. Knight took the children upstairs to rest. You can find them there, Mr. Knight."
Before the servant could finish, Alexander was already heading upstairs, straight to the guest rooms.
In the first room, he found the two kids asleep, their chubby bodies in cow-print pajamas, their faces flushed from sleep.
One of the kids had a bandage on his arm, which made Alexander's heart ache slightly. He didn't understand why he felt this way since he found the kids so annoying.
Still, he quietly walked over and covered them with the blankets they had kicked off.
Leaving the guest room, Alexander went to another room. The door was unlocked, and as he pushed it open, he came face to face with Sienna.
Sienna had just bathed the kids and was soaking wet. She had come back to shower and change, and had just stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel, her hair still damp.
Seeing this, Alexander froze. He moved towards Sienna, but she pushed him away.
"Get out, get out!"
"Get out? Why should I? This is The Knight Manor. Is there any place I can't go? Besides, there's nothing on you I haven't seen before. Now you are acting shy? Isn't it a bit late for that?"
Sienna was already embarrassed, and Alexander standing there didn't help.
"Alexander, don't make me curse at you!"
Alexander smirked and took another step closer.
"I know you can curse, and that mouth of yours can even bite. I have something to discuss with you. I'll wait in the living room."
Although Alexander was almost losing control at the sight of Sienna looking like a water lily, reason told him that it was best not to do anything until he figured out Sienna's intentions.
The door closed in Sienna's face. She relaxed, almost collapsing. She quickly dressed and dried her hair before heading out.
Not seeing Alexander at the door, Sienna went downstairs, Alexander was sitting on the couch, a cigarette in hand.
The earlier scene made Alexander's heart race. The memory of that night five years ago often haunted his dreams. They had been so passionate, and she had been so captivating. Thinking about it now made Alexander tense up.
Recalling the fiery Sienna from that night, his hand trembled slightly as he held the cigarette. Only God knew how crazily he was for her, but reality always gave him a harsh slap in the face.
Suddenly, the cigarette was snatched from his hand. Alexander looked up to see Sienna's angry eyes.
"If you want to smoke, do it outside. There are elderly and children here. Have some decency, Mr. Knight!"
Alexander raised an eyebrow, noticing her half-dried hair, his gaze turning cold.
"Sienna, you seem to forget this is The Knight Manor, my territory. You have no say in what I do here."
Sienna knew he was right, which made her even more grateful she had arranged for a new place. If she had to face Alexander every day, she would lose her mind.
"What do you want to talk about?"
"I just have one question. Are you genuinely trying to save Olivia, or are you using this to achieve some hidden agenda?"
