Chapter 5 Bullying Others with Power

Randy was fuming, and he slapped Hazel with all his strength.

Hazel's ears were ringing, and she felt completely helpless.

She tried to scream for help, but no sound came out.

As Randy's face got closer, a wave of despair washed over her, and tears streamed down her face.

The loud noise snapped Hazel back to reality. Before she even opened her eyes, she felt the weight on her body lift, and something warm covered her.

When she opened her eyes, she saw Lawrence's flawless face.

His expression was stern, and a dangerous glint flashed in his deep eyes.

"Are you okay?" Lawrence asked.

His cold words made Hazel's nose tingle, and she almost burst into tears. "I'm fine."

She croaked out the words, hastily pulling on her coat before turning her head.

Cheryl and Randy were being held down by Lawrence's bodyguards, struggling fiercely and unwillingly. "Who the hell are you people? This is the Anderson family! You're trespassing! I'll sue you!"

"How did you get here?" Hazel looked at Lawrence in surprise, seeing his face devoid of any emotion. "The butler told me you came to the Anderson family, so I followed to check on you."

He hadn't expected to see such a scene.

A menacing aura surrounded him as he glanced at Randy.

The bodyguard understood immediately, punching Randy, who let out a scream.

Cheryl screamed in terror. "Randy!"

She turned, looking at Lawrence with a mix of shock and fear. "You are that cripple? How dare you!"

She stammered, unable to form a complete sentence.

Lawrence ignored her, lifting Hazel onto his lap and preparing to leave with her.

As they reached the door, the commotion finally caught Keith's attention.

He and another person rushed over, seeing the mess.

Cheryl's mother, Matilda Fuller, saw Cheryl lying on the ground in disarray and turned pale. She quickly ran over, pushing away the bodyguard holding Cheryl down. "Cheryl, are you okay?"

Cheryl pitifully burrowed into Matilda's arms, tears streaming down her face as she shouted angrily. "Dad, he's Hazel's lover! Stop them!"

Keith recognized Lawrence as Hazel's new husband, and his face darkened. "Hazel! What are you doing? How dare you bring anyone into our home? Do you even see me as your father anymore?"

Hazel nestled in Lawrence's arms, almost laughing at his words. "Mr. Anderson, what right do you have to lecture me? If I remember correctly, last night you said we no longer have any relationship."

Keith hadn't expected her to air their family issues in front of Lawrence, and his eyes widened in anger.

The atmosphere grew tense, and Hazel felt dizzy and weak. "If there's nothing else, we'll be leaving. It's not easy for my husband to come out."

Keith and the others grew even more furious.

They wanted to stop them, but seeing the bodyguards behind Lawrence, they didn't dare.

At that moment, Cheryl suddenly rushed over, tears in her eyes. "Lawrence, I'm sorry you had to see this. Hazel's been spoiled by the family, which is why she's so willful. But don't worry, we'll make sure to guide her properly."

She bowed deeply, showing an apologetic expression to Lawrence.

Hazel was stunned.

Was Cheryl out of her mind?

Even now, she couldn't resist slandering her?

Hazel was about to speak, but Lawrence stopped her, so she stayed in his arms, watching Cheryl's performance.

And Cheryl didn't disappoint.

After apologizing, she showed a comforting smile. "But I'm really happy for Hazel. She's lucky to have someone as wonderful as you."

"Indeed, she's lucky." Lawrence responded smoothly, even glancing down at Hazel.

His eyes held complex emotions, but Hazel could tell they weren't good ones!

Cheryl relaxed and smiled, trying to get closer to Lawrence.

But Lawrence's next words stopped her in her tracks. "Meeting Hazel is the greatest luck of my life."

"What?" Cheryl was stunned, barely able to control her expression. "Lawrence, you must be mistaken. Hazel, she..."

"Whatever she is, I don't need you to tell me. I like her just the way she is, whether she's spoiled or willful. She's my woman, and I'll spoil her. As for you..." Lawrence looked Cheryl up and down, coldly. "Who do you think you are to speak nonsense in front of me?"

Cheryl's face turned pale, then quickly flushed red.

Her body trembled with growing hatred.

Matilda couldn't stand seeing Cheryl insulted and pointed at Lawrence's face, shouting, "Don't go too far! Cheryl was kindly reminding you, and you don't appreciate it. When you see Hazel's true colors, you'll be the one crying!"

"You should worry about yourselves instead of me." Lawrence snorted, ignoring the noisy group behind him, and carried Hazel out.

As they left, Hazel suddenly patted Lawrence's shoulder, making him stop.

She turned to look at the beaten Randy, tilting her head as she sized him up, then slapped him a few times without mercy. "Randy, take a good look in the mirror. Who do you think you are? How dare you think I can't live without you? Knowing you is the biggest stain of my life!"

"Hazel!" Randy, held down by the bodyguards, could only rage helplessly.

Hazel walked away, still hearing Randy's furious shouts in the distance.
