“The news?” She chuckled bitterly before she got up. “Are you insane, Ryan? Do you think we would both still be alive once he learns that the child's he's been anticipating to have for five years is not his but his Beta's? My Uncle?? Even death wouldn't do enought justice for what we've done!” 

“Astella…”  I got up and quickly lockedy room door before approaching her, placing two hands on her shoulder and shaking her slightly. “you have to calm down or someone would hear.” 

She slowly shook her head with more tears rolling down her cheeks. She was shaking in my grasps and I didn't know whether to hug her. I was torn between comforting her, but at the same time, how was I going to tell her of the brimming happiness I felt. 

Knowing that she had her child growing inside of her caused me to have mixed feelings about it. But in the dire reality of the situation, Alpha Liam would have both our heads in his hands once he found out the truth.
