Chapter 14
Henry's cold eyes narrowed as he asked in a chilling tone, "And you? Got nothing to say to me?"
"Say what?" Julia was confused by his question. Seeing Henry's emotions settle, she felt more at ease and responded with a detached tone, "Mr. Hearst, there's nothing left to say between us, is there? We've been divorced for six years."
Henry's hand gripped Julia's jaw, forcing her to look up at him.
"Mr. Hearst?" He let out a mocking laugh, but the coldness in his eyes was terrifying.
Julia chose not to look at him and averted her gaze.
Seeing her like this only made Henry angrier.
She abandoned her own daughter and didn't care for six years. And she still remembered it had been six years? He thought she was heartless and wouldn't remember at all.
"Julia, what game are you playing with me now? Hmm? You used to cling to me every day, saying you liked me, loved me, and now you call me Mr. Hearst. Have you forgotten what you did to me? Do you need me to remind you?" His gaze was like a knife, cutting into her as he spoke.
Julia never thought that what she did six years ago would make him hold a grudge for so long.
Back then, she just wanted to end her burning affection for him in her own way.
All these years, she had avoided thinking about the past because of that incident.
But now, the person from her past was right in front of her, forcing her to remember.
That night six years ago, his gaze was crueler than that of an executioner.
Julia took a deep breath, her eyes slowly lowering, but a second later, she looked up and met his gaze. "You remember, and so do I. What do you mean by bringing it up now? Do you feel wronged? What do you want me to do to compensate you?"
Henry's entire being seemed filled with rage, making the air around them feel icy.
Julia looked into his eyes, which seemed to be filled with murderous intent, and forced herself to continue, "That night, I did something you didn't like without your consent. But you benefited too, didn't you? I know you felt uncomfortable, so whatever compensation you want, I'm willing to comply without objection."
Henry's eyes grew colder at her words.
Her indifferent attitude was clearly a provocation.
After a few seconds of intense eye contact, Henry finally spoke coldly, "What kind of compensation do you think is appropriate for that night? Hmm? You want me to name a price? Alright, then let's have a one-night stand again!"
Julia never expected Henry to respond like that.
As Henry leaned in, Julia tried to dodge, but found herself firmly restrained by him, unable to escape.
Henry's lips pressed against hers, his tongue aggressively invading her mouth, stealing her breath.
Julia tried to push him away, but her limited strength was nothing to Henry.
She clenched her mouth shut, trying to push him away.
But he didn't give her the chance.
He gripped her jaw, applying constant pressure.
Julia couldn't escape him, her body struggling to push him away. "Henry! You can't do this to me! Are you crazy?"
Henry sneered, "Then why could you do that to me?"
His words dragged Julia back to that night six years ago.
That night, Henry had been in a half-awake state while making love to her.
Now, his overwhelming presence surrounded her.
After speaking, Henry kissed her again.
This kiss was much deeper than the last.
Julia wanted to push him away, but her body longed to melt into his embrace.
Even after all this time, she still couldn't resist her body's instincts.
If Henry knew she still craved him like she did six years ago, would he despise her even more?
Julia's last bit of rationality surged in an instant, and she took advantage of Henry's distraction to bite him hard.
The taste of blood mingled in their mouths.
Henry didn't stop, his aggression only increasing.
Julia, overwhelmed by his intensity, went limp in his arms.
Moments later, Henry finally stopped, "Julia, your body tells me more than your words ever could."
Julia tried to push him away, but the next second, she felt his hands on her waist.
In a sudden burst of strength, she pushed Henry away and slapped him hard across the face. "Henry, stop messing around! If your goal was to make me relive the pain of unrequited love, then congratulations, you've succeeded!"
"In the past, I liked you because I was young and naive. I used my own means to break you and Vivian up, and that was wrong. But later, I realized my mistake and stopped bothering you. I let you go, and I stayed out of your life for six years! So, I think there's no need for us to keep entangling with each other!" Julia said, tears welling up in her eyes, and ran out without looking back.
At the door, Asher had just finished dealing with the troublemakers and saw Julia running out of the room.
He immediately went in to check on Henry.
The room was dark, with no lights on.
Henry's tall figure leaned against the wall, his eyes filled with intense anger, and his lips were bleeding.
"Mr. Hearst, what happened?" Asher asked softly.
Henry raised his hand, wiping the blood from his lips, the wound from Julia's bite still stinging.
She really put some force into it.
Henry's voice was cold, "Nothing."
With that, he turned and left the room.
He looked down the restaurant hallway, but Julia was long gone.
His eyes were filled with a chilling coldness as he thought, 'Julia, in Neoville, you won't escape my grasp!'
At the door, the men Asher had dealt with were still groaning in pain.
Henry's gaze swept over them coldly, and he turned to Asher. "You know what to do with anyone who messes with Julia!"
"Yes, sir!"
Julia, afraid Henry would catch up, ran to the stairwell as fast as she could, not daring to return to the room.
She finally got away from Henry, but she didn't feel the relief she expected.
After six years, she thought she had steeled her heart and mind, believing she wouldn't fall for Henry again.
She was wrong.
Henry always knew how to effortlessly stir her heart.
