Santiago Rivera, heir to the fearsome Miguel Rivera, head of the powerful Beltrán cartel in Mexico, has always carried the burden of a cruel lie: his father blames him for the death of his mother when she gave birth to him. Scarred by this imposed guilt, Santiago has become a violent man, committing unforgivable acts to appease his inner demons.

His life is turned upside down the day he witnesses the brutal execution of Diego Perez, a landowner murdered by Miguel for refusing to hand over his land. When he crosses paths with Orely, a young widow determined to reveal Miguel's true nature and avenge her husband, his dark world is shattered. Orely, ready to do anything to obtain justice, embarks on a fierce battle against the cartel boss, facing threats and dangers along the way.

Santiago, torn between his loyalty to his father and Orely's revelations, must confront his own darkness. Will he be able to free himself from Miguel's destructive influence and acknowledge the truth, or will he sink deeper into the violence and despair of his past?
