CHAPTER SIX GREAT GRANDCHILDREN
A plus-sized American woman called Mrs. Scott was standing in her living room, wearing trainers while she stood in front of her king sized ring light as she fixed her phone into the handle.
"Hello, sweeties." She said posing sexily and cutely in front of the camera but that's not what Davis saw when he walked into the living room.
"Grandma Scott, don't tell me you haven't quit this Tiktok shit even after the backlash to the company."
"Oh come on. I have to show my babies that I'm aging backward." She said giggling and turning around to show off her sagging buttocks. "Do you see babes?"
Davis looked at her and rolled his eyes before he sighed heavily. She stopped her video and stared at her grandson closely before smiling to herself.
"I heard you got someone pregnant."
"Where did you hear that?" He was shocked and he almost sprang up to his feet immediately.
She laughed while coming towards him. "I know everything, Davis. You can't keep important and joyous matters like that away from me."
"How did you know about it? I told that wacko girl not to say anything..."
"No one told me anything." She sat down and grabbed a bottle of water which sat at the table all this while and opened it. She took a sip and covered it up watching the funny expression on her grandson's face.
"My jerky grandson who had sworn not to give me great grandchildren before I passed on miraculously got someone pregnant, I'm so happy. I feel so blessed."
"Stop getting naughty filthy ideas in your head," Davis said as she took a seat but she snorted.
"So many times, you have rejected marriage proposals, disgraced me so many times as you rejected my friend's daughter, girls of the high class..."
"We both know that marriage is a waste of time, grandma," Davis replied helping himself with a cup of coffee and sipping gently while Grandma Scott watched.
"You still think so??" She smiled, "But what happened this time? You know Davis, I visited a shaman recommended by a friend's daughter." Davis' brows furrowed listening to her, what's she trying to say? He had no idea but whatever thing she was scheming, he'd pass.
"She's a Korean shaman and lives in New York. Didn't know she'd be that good even when she told me that I'm getting an in law by the end of the year." Davis jerked at his drink, almost coughing out as he stared at his grandmother.
"In law? Wait. What? What are you saying?" Davis realized from the look on her face and began to shake his head, "Heck no, it's not going to happen."
"She is pregnant with our baby, Davis."
"Our baby? No, stop that grandma! I'm not going to marry her. We've talked things out between us and we've agreed to abort the child and keep this under wraps."
"Abort the child?" She asked while he nodded his head.
She stared at him before letting off a loud laugh that caused David to crease his face in confusion, "Grandma."
"You think you will abort my great grandchild?"
"What do you expect me to do then? Let her give birth to my child? Grandma come on, you know I don't like her. Or are you seriously suggesting I marry her?"
"Yes." She snapped. "You're going to marry her."
"Hell no! I'm not going to marry her."
"You will marry her and that's final."
"I have a girlfriend who I love so much. I've betrayed her enough by cheating on her and getting someone else pregnant."
"Oh really? Now you remember you have a girlfriend." She shrugged. She was standing up and she was already leaving. "I think this is the best time I get to meet my in-laws."
"In-laws!!" She was almost at the exit door, "Grandma, you're kidding right? I can't marry someone like her. She's not beautiful! She's not attractive."
She halted in her tracks smiling from ear to ear. "And you still slept with her? Isn't that love?"
"Instead, let me marry Natalie. I'm ready to settle down now Grandma, I will engage her and bring her home for you." He said panicking hating the thought of marriage to Dahila, Grandma regarded him with her eyes, "And What happened to my great grandson?"
"Stop referring to a baby that has never been born as your great grandson! I will give you so many of them, I promise but not Dahila. I can't settle down with her, you can't possibly be teasing me like this Grandma."
"You seriously think I am teasing you?" Grandma smirked, "I'm not teasing you Davis, you are going to marry her."
"That won't happen. She doesn't even like me too."
"Is that what you're worried about? What if I make her agree to marry you?"
"That's..."
"Tidy the room for me, please. Bye." She snapped and left the room while he screamed at the top of his voice.
"Nooooooo!!!"
