Chapter 5 Confine Her
Alexander's POV
My head throbbed as I strode down the seventh floor corridor of the Four Seasons, flanked by three of my most trusted security personnel. After five years of searching, of grieving, of rage - she was here.
"Sir," Jack's voice crackled through my earpiece. "Ms. Thompson is still in Room 806. No movement detected."
I clenched my jaw. Katie Thompson. The name she'd chosen to hide behind. Did she think a fake identity and some cosmetic changes would be enough to fool me? I'd know those eyes anywhere, even behind colored contacts.
"Breach the door on my mark," I ordered, positioning myself in front of 806. "Three. Two. One."
The door burst open. Katherine stood by the window, already dressed in a crisp white blouse and tailored black pants. Her head snapped up at our entrance, body tensing like a cornered animal.
"Katie Thompson," I drawled, enjoying how her fingers twitched at the fake name. "Where do you think you're running to?"
"You're trespassing." Her voice was ice cold, professional. "If you've investigated me as thoroughly as I suspect, you should know I'm not whoever you think I am. I'm free to go wherever I want."
I stepped closer, drinking in the sight of her. The familiar way she shifted her weight, preparing to fight or flee. The subtle changes - her hair was longer, styled differently. But underneath the elaborate disguise was my Katherine.
"Really?" I moved to block her path to the door. "Then you won't mind removing that makeup? Showing me the real face!"
Her eyes flashed. "Get out of my way."
"Make me."
She lunged, but I was ready. My hands caught her wrists as she tried to slip past, pinning her against the wall. She fought like a wildcat, all calculated strikes and vicious kicks.
"Let. Me. Go!" Each word was punctuated by a fresh attempt to break free.
"Not a chance." I pressed closer, using my body weight to immobilize her. "Not until you tell me the truth. About everything."
"The truth?" She laughed, bitter and sharp. "I'm not her!"
Before I could ask more, my earpiece crackled. "Sir," Jack's voice was urgent. "Mr. Smith has arrived for the merger meeting. He's waiting in 807."
Damn it. The tech startup acquisition couldn't wait - not with the market this volatile. But I couldn't risk Katherine disappearing again either.
"Watch her," I ordered the security team. "If she tries to leave, stop her. I'll be back."
"This is kidnapping!" Katherine's voice followed me into the hallway. "You can't just hold me prisoner!"
I adjusted my tie, striding toward the elevator. "Watch me."
Sarah's POV
I checked my reflection one final time in the mirror of Room 805, smoothing the black lace dress over my curves. Everything had to be perfect. The wedding might be postponed, but by the end of today, he'd be mine.
The phone buzzed - a text from my contact in room service. Alexander and the tech executive were in 807, drinking the doctored champagne. Soon, he'd feel the effects. All I had to do was wait.
I shed my designer trench coat, letting it pool at my feet. The dress left little to the imagination - exactly as intended. Alexander had always been a breast man, and the plunging neckline showcased my assets perfectly.
A knock at the door made my heart race. Right on schedule.
"Come in," I called, arranging myself artfully on the king-sized bed.
The door opened. But instead of Alexander's tall, muscular frame, a balding man in his fifties stumbled in. Mr. Smith - the tech executive. His face was flushed, pupils dilated.
"What- you're not supposed to be here!" I scrambled up, reaching for my coat. "Get out!"
He lurched forward, surprisingly fast for his size. "So beautiful... need you..."
"Don't touch me!" I tried to dodge, but my stilettos caught in the plush carpet. His weight bore me down onto the bed, hands pawing at my dress. "Help! Somebody help!"
But the rooms were soundproofed - one of the reasons I'd chosen this floor. The irony wasn't lost on me as I fought against his drug-fueled strength.
"Please," I begged as he pinned my wrists, his breath hot against my neck. "Stop!"
He didn't stop. The dress tore, buttons popping. I screamed, thrashing, but it only seemed to excite him more. This was wrong, all wrong. The aphrodisiac was meant for Alexander...
Tears streamed down my face as rough hands forced my thighs apart. This wasn't how it was supposed to happen.
For the next while, there were only memories of pain and violation.
Alexander's POV
The presidential suite swam before my eyes as I tried to focus on the merger documents. Something was wrong - my skin felt too tight, burning from within. Across the table, Smith looked equally unsettled, tugging at his collar.
"The terms are..." I blinked, the words blurring. "The terms..."
My phone buzzed - a security update about Katherine. She was attempting to pick the lock. Clever girl. Always so resourceful.
"Excuse me." I stood, gripping the back of my chair as the room tilted. "Jack, help me to 806."
The world spun as we entered the elevator. Katherine. I needed to get to Katherine. Everything else could wait.
But by the time we reached 803, my legs wouldn't cooperate.
"Sir?" Jack's voice seemed to come from very far away. "Sir, I don't think you should-"
I shoved him aside, fumbling with the door. Katherine looked up from where she was working on the lock, her eyes widening at my state.
"What's wrong with you?" She backed away as I stumbled forward.
"Katherine..." The room was spinning, but she was crystal clear. So beautiful. So perfect. "My Katherine..."
