Chapter four

As the unconventional looking kind of bad guy, Kilian knows all of this to the latter. In the underworld, he's a force of huge manitude to reckon on, he's terror and nightmare which is why he got nicknamed "The fury" but in real life, he's that goofy, basketball loving bartender people who barely makes a living, people literally walk pass him on the street without a second glance or a single suspicion of who he really is. The only attention he gets is the lustful look from girls who would love nothing more than to have their wicked way with him, the attraction intensifies whenever he pulls off his shirt, which is a requirement at the male strip club where he works as the bartender, or releases his hair band to let the full-length of his golden and glorious mane fall over his shoulder. He was still a troubled teenager when he discovered the power of his sexuality, when he found out that the only time he get people's attention, is usually when he becomes an object of their sexual desire, and though he hates it so much, still he allowed it become a part of his cover personality.

'I got an intel from a trusted source that there's going to be a private soiree at the Ivanova manor tomorrow evening, it's something Monica Solaano does annually to show off her lavish lifestyle to her friends and family who I'm sure by now, have gotten the memo from years of continuous attendance, and though Dominic is not obligated too, he always shows up at the event for her...' Before Kaitana could complete her sentence, Kilian could already tell exactly what she was going to say... or so he thought, until she finished, making him absolutely disappointed at her suggestion.

'It will be the perfect opportunity for you to scout Dominic at a close up end and map out your strategy on how to eliminate him for good' Kilian scoffs in disbelief, Did Kaitana really expect that he'd get within the close range of the man who ordered the death of his father, only to spy on him ans pass up a good opportunity to end him for good.

'Scout him? And what exactly should stop me from putting a bullet through his fucking head, ending it all at once?' He asked rhetorically, inclining his head in a dramatic manner. Kaitana gave him one of her stern, no nonsense look once again, a strict warning for him to banish that careless idea from his thought

'I want to believe you're not so stupid to act so impulsive! You of all people know what's at stake. Dominic is not just anybody, that guy may not be a sworn member of the underworld brotherhood but he owns the largest of it armies...' She admonish

'Second largest! I have the largest army' He corrects his best friend, feeling offended that his own best friend would make such a silly mistake. It took him years, tears, sweat and an ocean full of his enemies blood and bones to build his army, to build his reputation as the youngest and most dreaded king of the underworld ... The fury! They call him. The mere mention of his name sends shivers downn the spine of grown adults, men pee themselves in horror when summoned by him while the more cowardly one would fall flat on their faces, begging with tears running down their eyes and mucus from their noses, those where the kind he hated the most, because they have no pride, honour or self respect, they are the most dangerous kind of people in the world, the type whose loyalty were forever questionable, they couldn't even remain loyal to themselves, how could they be loyal to anyone else?. You can count them to be the first to flip when the tables turn, for those people, he usually show not iota of mercy.

'Interrupt me again and i'd chop off your head' kaitana wags her finger at him. He mockingly raised his hand in a surrender gesture.

'Fine!' He grudgely accepts, resisting the urge to roll his eyes at her which goes against his masculine pride, but being around Kaitana and Jordan always brings out that soft and petty side of him, though he won't readily admit it, he loves the fact that he could be is actual self with them without expectation or judgements, that he could live like every other person with them

'Killing Dominic without a solid plan will backfire on you, it will blow your cover faster than you can pull up your knickers and make you a target as well, this may be your call but I have to keep your sorry ass alive for as long a possible, so we're doing it my way and not your's' she firmly establish, not willing to take NO as an answer.

If there is another thing Kilian likes and admires about kaitana, it's how methodic, calculative and meticulous she is with planning and execution, back when they were younger and green, if they got a job to execute, he and Klaus always leaves the mapping and planning strategy to her, and you can be sure it's going to be a complete success. Kaitana's sharp mind was one of the tools that helped him climbed up the fast ladder in the underworld, his success as the youngest and most ruthless lord comes from his continual brain borrowing from him, because "The fury" is tempermental and impulsive which makes him prone to making not very good decisions, Kaitana is the perfect guide and voice of reasoning that put him in place, without her, he'd be a lost sheep.

'... Dominic is definitely going to have some of his men there, in disguise as expected, so we can't make a silly move, else you'd be gambling with the choice of making it out of his lair alive' kilian had to admit she's making a very sensible point, he can't afford to be rash and sloppy or the whole thing might backfire on them. 'And remember, this shouldn't be only about revenge, we need to find out what ties your father had to him and why he ordered his execution'

'In all sincerity, I don't give a fuck about that any more' kilian used to want to know, but now he's past caring. Whatever the reason was that is father was executed for, it won't change the fact that his death changed the dynamic of his life for good, so why should he care?.

'Don't be stupid Kil! Have you forgotten what Angela taught us...' Off course he hasn't, how could he? when the old woman always found a way to drive her lessons home in the most painful way, she was a sadist but they respect her regardless, they won't have made it this far, suriving as kids in the underworld full of wolves and predators

'Every fucking murder associated to the underworld always have motives, and the motives, no matter how petty and unnecessary it might seem, is a knowledge you need to have in order to be able to navigate through this world and hold on to your throne. Knowledge is power Kil, and whether you like it or not, whether you deem it important enough or not, this particular knowledge is one you need to have' she adds, watching him carefully as he grits his teeth while his face twitched continuously, she laid a hand on his shoulder to clam him down, knowing how impatient he is and that she was asking too much of him, but it needed to he done in order to keep him alive because just like him, she's willing to go any length to protect him, she can't afford to lose him, after losing her brother. After what felt like eternity, Kilian finally relaxed with a sigh.

'Fine! So what is the plan? Or you haven't come up with one yet?' He knows Kaitana won't come up to him without a solid proof plan... Or rather, Three or more solid plans just in case one fail, she believes in plan A-Z. Blams it on that perfectionist side of her.

'Now that's my boy talking!' That elicited a laughter from Kilian. 'Off course I have a plan...'

'Or rather, plans' He completes, both of them burst out in another round of unethical laughter.

'You know my ass too well Tana, now shoot! I have to get to work soon or i'd be giving my manager one more good reason to finally do away with me' kaitana shook her head in disgust, she still doesn't get why Kilian has chosen to live the way he does when he could easily have a better life despite being a high school dropout, at first he kept giving excuses that he needed the odd jobs for a perfect cover should in case shit goes down, but with time, her intuisive perception has made her realize there is more to it than meet the eyes... Kilian was gradually self destructing, he's punishing himself for reasons best known to him.
