Chapter2:

At Drunk Stature Bar, in an empty corridor.

Cecilia had been drinking all night to accompany some movie producers who were present at Carina's birthday as well as her own.

With a splitting headache, she wanted to find somewhere clean and quiet to sober up. However, she had not expected Miss Rita to follow her. She could only gather enough energy to deal with her.

"Miss Rita, is there something you want to say?"

"Cecilia, let me ask you, did you register to audition for the second female lead in the movie 'Tears of the Sun'?"

"Yes, why are you asking? Is there a problem?"

"No, you can't audition tomorrow!" Miss Rita retorted.

Miss Rita is her manager, and here she is stopping her from auditioning for a role that any other actress would die for? Cecilia was not surprised by this, but instead, she asked, "And what makes you think I shouldn't go there tomorrow?"

"You... You... You can't just go! Your stepmother, who is also Carina's manager, already said Carina is auditioning for that role, so you should step down."

Cecilia smiled faintly, "My Stepmother said that to you? Is she afraid that a small upcoming actress like me will snatch her Celebrity daughter's role?

"Don't push yourself too hard Cecilia, Manager Linda, I mean your Stepmother had already invested a lot in this role and also she had connections within the crew so no matter hard you try Carina is getting this role" Miss Rita replied insignificantly Cecilia moved closer to her, enough for their noses to touch each other then she asked

"Then why are you so scared? They have connections and I have my abilities"

"You're my artist! You have to listen to your manager! Miss Rita replied as if she's some kind of a Big sister.

"Heh! You still Remembered that I am your Artist? I thought you've switched to be Carina's eye and ear rather than mines?

"I am not in for you Nok jok, don't blame for using force, Happy birthday! Miss Rita said.

As she finished speaking, Cecilia felt something hard banged at the back of her head, she felt weak and then all black!............

Her head was throbbing with a headache, and she felt discomfort. Her body felt heavy, and the air was filled with the stench of stale alcohol.

She slowly opened her eyes and realized that everything around her was dark.

She tried to remember what had happened, but she couldn't recall anything after feeling something on her head and her body becoming weak.

Knowing that shouting would be useless, she remained silent.

When she first entered the film industry and was introduced to Miss Rita, she was given villain roles which she accepted with joy.

However, despite these roles making her happy, she still resorted to such low-level tactics. If she failed to get this role, she would have to leave Wavier Entertainment. She had always wanted to sign with Immortal Entertainment, the leading entertainment industry in California, the same one Nathaniel had signed with.

Amidst her shattered thoughts, she heard a strange sound. "Was that a mouse?"

She followed the direction of the sound and was surprised to see a white figure lying among the empty beer cartons..

The little figure looked about five to six, she looked like a cute little thing as white as Jade like a little bun.

She was shivering vigorously like a cute little lamb. 'why will there be a child in the storeroom of a bar? There shouldn't be a customer who should have brought their child here? 'She thought.

"Hey little Girl, why are you here? Why you locked in here? Is your parents or Guardian here? Did you drink? She asked all in one breath.

"Miss, you ask way too questions" She replied in a shaking voice.

Cecilia was surprised... She could even nag in this condition of hers? She picked the girl up and placed her in her arms and cuddle her gently.

With the expensive clothes she was wearing, one would know her parents are rich and with the sweet scent of male shampoo on her hair it could be guessed that she uses her father's shampoo.

After cuddling her for sometime, the little girl cheered up a little bit and they both say down together. "Miss, how come you're here? She asked

"You should refer to older females as Big sister not Miss" Cecilia replied

"You can still lecture me in this condition? You should find how we should get out of here not to be asking me questions" The little girl bluntly said.

Cecilia was surprised, she didn't expect that she could talk so much.

The both adult and child fell into an abyss of silence, at this moment, the light bulb in the room flashed briefly the went out again.

Cecilia noticed that the little girl clanged to her more closer.... "Scared of the dark?

She quickly loosed her grip on Cecilia, "Who told you that I am scared? Cecilia smiled.

After sitting together for some time, Cecilia could hear little snores beside her. The cute little thing next to her was asleep.

Cecilia breathed heavily, feeling clueless and with a numb brain. She couldn't think of anything. Miss Rita was determined to keep her locked up until the end of the audition. Based on the time she had spent there, Cecilia guessed it was midnight. Eventually, she fell asleep as well.

Cecilia woke up to the sound of grunts coming from the little thing beside her. She found her sprawled on the floor. When she touched her body, she realized she had a high fever.

"Did you catch a fever? While anxiously worrying about the time, Cecilia noticed a faint light illuminating the room despite the darkness. Raising her head, she discovered a small skylight through which the light was entering.

Cecilia looked around the storeroom and found a ladder. She moved it towards the window.

"Little girl, come over. I'll help you out."

The little lady dragged herself up and looked at Cecilia with cute puppy eyes, which Cecilia understood.

"Heh, you're quite loyal after we've suffered together. Go... this window is too small for me to pass...when you get out, find someone to save me too. Are we even now? She asked with a smile.

Her gentle nod assured Cecilia and sent her out through the window, Cecilia felt Dizzy then again she fell down.

From the edge of the window, Little Lady saw this scene and she ran panicking to get someone to save her helper.
