CHAPTER 5 When The Wolf Needs Her Too

I spent the rest of my day acting normal in front of the people surrounding me. But when I'm alone, I zone out and spend most of my time contemplating things.

I looked at my mother's picture on my wallet. If mom was alive, this is what she'd do, right? She'll help my father forget all the painful things. Because that is how much she loves him, my father.

With a cold heart, I remember those times where mom would wait for him to go home. Scratch, both of us would wait for him to go home. And we're all happy. It's all normal. Mom would cook dinner while I occupied myself with girly things, and dad would arrive home late.

I slept on that memory. In that memory, it felt so distant, because in that memory, I was so happy.

"You're going out?" Erin asked before I got out.

I nodded simply. I could sense Peter's hawk eyes on me.

I responded, "I booked a massage. I have some hair appointments as well."

"Will you be back? So I could cook enough for dinner."

I nodded. "I'll come back, don't cook for dinner, I'll buy our meal."

She smiled. I glanced at Peter before I left.

I'll be meeting the professional adviser that I found out about days ago. Someone referred him to me. Erin and Peter had no idea about this. I did it all by myself. They don't know that I'm the son of the famous Bill Collins, who does charity work and is known for being a wealthy and successful businessman in the city.

"Pleasure to meet you, Ms. Collins." Mr. Admir offered his hand. We met at a coffee shop.

I nodded and shook the man's hand. "I'd prefer it if you wouldn't call me that."

He pursed a smile and we both settled down.

"Athena will do," I said.

He nodded. We spent the rest of the time confirming and going through the details. And when we were done, his few first words struck me.

"This is not a simple case, Ms. Athena. Based on all the studies that I did with your father's case, all the strong evidence points to a guilt plea. Your party might need a huge back up."

My mind went to the brink. Not because of the later parts.

"Strong evidence?"

He nodded. "Yes."

"Does that mean my father really has done that?" I asked. I can't help but sound bitter and hurt.

His serious face and single pause are telling me that the answer is 'yes' but he chose to not say it.

"His attorney and him still need to do a lot of talking. He also needs to undergo psychological matters so we might know what the things that need to be settled with."

It's a yes. I know the answer for now is yes.

"But my father told me he didn't do it." I said with a hint of desperation.

"Was that his exact words?"

I stopped. My father's words are not the exact things, but based on his words, I assumed he was telling me he didn't do it.

"Please help my father." That's all I could say.

He nodded. "We will play our part, Ms. Athena. We'll be needing a clinical diagnosis that could bail him out so we can buy more time."

I let all the stress linger while I did all my appointments for that day. Massage, hair, and nail appointments. I let out some steam.

"Oof, you're extra glowing today." The hair professional pointed out. I don't know if he's fooling me to get into my head or if he's speaking facts. I just ignored his compliments.

When I had my massage, the woman on the desk said the same words to me.

"You look blooming today, Ms. Athena," she said.

I smiled raw. "I-I just had my hair appointment, maybe that."

She laughed. "It's not the hair, ma'am."

When I removed my clothes to change my bathrobe, I checked myself in the mirror. I didn't realize it yesterday because I was busy contemplating things. But looking at it now, it really does feel like something has changed in me.

My skin is extra glowing and the flicker of my lashes is not normal. I don't know. Perhaps it's a hormonal thing.I checked out my body in front of the mirror. I saw some red marks on my upper back and below my stomach.

My cheeks flushed. I gulped, thinking about what happened between Knight and me. This has to stop, really. I shouldn't be thinking about that rude and brute business man.

It was already dark outside when I finished all my appointments. I thought of calling Erin so that I could ask what they wanted for dinner. But I realized I hadn't brought my phone with me.

"Geez!" I hissed. I decided to just buy a meal based on my own preference and guessing.

I went out of the parking lot so I could go home, but before I could even reach my car, someone grabbed my arm and my body felt cold right away. A man in black dragged me, and my instinct acted fast. I tried to get away and I squealed, but the man was too strong.

"Let go of me! Who the fvck are you?"

The man ignored me. We passed a few more cars before we turned into the expensive car, and there, I saw a familiar man standing outside that car.

His cold, dark eyes bore into me. I first noticed his dress shirt that had the first three buttons open. His hair is well fixed, the same as the last time I saw him. A shining luxury watch is on his wrist.

I stopped. I chuckled inside me. I shrugged off the hold of the man. My heels clacked when I came in front of him. He touched his lips before he signed for the man to go away.

I chinned up. "Are you perhaps here to retrieve your black card?"

His dark eyes were his reply. I smirked playfully as I got his card from my brassier. I had a plan to call him tonight. That's why I had it all prepared. But I guess somebody couldn't wait, huh?

Stuck in my index and middle fingers, I offered the card back to him. He didn't even glance at the card. His eyes were stuck on me.

"Surprised I didn't spend a penny?" I said and we met our little gap.

I looked at him sensually while I slid his card into his pocket. My finger brushed into his maleness and I did it purposely before I encircled my arms around his neck.

God, why am I getting hot all of a sudden?

"How did you find me then?" I whispered. My lips almost touched his chin.

I purposely didn't use his card because I know why he gave me that. There are two reasons; either he's trying to find out where I would be going so he could trace me and come for me, or he's just challenging my whore capability.

You challenged the wrong woman, Knight.

I said, "I told you I don't need your money," so he would remember my words to him last time.

His jaw clenched. He sighed heavily when I ran my fingers to the back of his head. With one glide of his tongue to the inside of his cheeks, he pushed me harshly to his car and pinned me. Both of his palms are grasping the shape of my s-line.

I bit my lip to stop any sound because of my surprise. He buried his face in the space between my neck and shoulders. I felt his warm and heavy breathing on my skin. I tilted my head to give him more access.

"And how about when I need you, huh? Do I have to shuffle the whole city to find you? " The frustration in his tone is evident.

He needs me? For what? Of course, for sex.

"I'm sorry, mister. I have a family waiting for me tonight. " I replied sensually.

He kissed my neck and nibbled it. I arched my back, and bit my lip so no moan would escape. He palmed my pecks, and I couldn't help it when a sound of pleasure successfully escaped.

"My apology, but you'll be going home to me tonight." he uttered before he opened his car and ravaged me.
