Chapter 4
He looked at me and seen I looked confused and I shrugged my shoulders so he says “show me what your mom got you Silvia. I sent you $300 a month just like your brothers and sister.”
I know I look like a deer caught in headlights but I don’t know what to do right now. I have no idea what he is talking about “I have never been giving money if you don’t believe me let me show you.” I turn and start to walk to the basement. They all follow my mom looks scared and I am loving it.
“Steve what is the meaning of this you have never questioned me before why now? What did that girl tell you? Did she say I didn’t and you believe her over your own wife? I should just leave you and make you find someone else to keep your house together.” That one I laughed out loud at. She doesn’t do shit its all me I pay the bills and I do the repairs but I have cameras everywhere and I will give him the passcode. Don’t get me wrong if I wanted his money I could take it and he wouldn’t know. I hacked his accounts a long time ago so I could pay there bills. Now they come out on there own.
“I cook, clean, do repairs and pay the bills so what do you do mother? Oh wait fuck and do drugs.” I say as we get to the living room where to the right is the couch and fireplace with a coffee table and 2 chairs one on each end of the couch and across on the wall is the TV. The stairs to go up are next to the TV and that’s to the left of us. The stairs down are next to it and we see Steve Jr and Jerold standing there with 2 moms from down the road. Gross isn’t that the PE teachers wife/my cooking teacher? What the hell is wrong with these people and then I see the other woman is the reverends wife. I start laughing and they then see us. Mrs. Reverend tried to hid so I decide to say something “Mrs. Lawrence is it? I don’t know I am an atheist and don’t go to church, so we have never met before but I think that is your name. You have been caught with a minor no less. You might want to let go of them both of you before my dad Steve decides to press charges. Oh and don’t say you didn’t know because Mrs. Cruz you teach my Cooking class so you know who we are and that they are minors. I bet Mr. Cruz would love to see this.” After I said those words the both took off running.
“Boys we will be talking about this when I get back up here. Lets go Silvia I want to see where your mom has been putting my money.” Steve says and I know he seen there faces go pale. Oh yeah they know where it goes and its not me. I have all the proof.
We keep walking down the stairs and he sees the wall that wasn’t there before next to the washroom. I open the door and he sees the nice small room I made. “I did this and paid for it myself so none of this was your money. Everything down here I paid for. I have all the receipts and they all have time stamps and show my signature. I didn’t get new clothes last month but I know Ashley got new clothes and the boys got stuff too. Oh and lets not forget the parties they throw on the weekends. While I lock myself in here or go to Grandma Terry or Aunt Lola. Steve your mom and sister take good care of me while you are gone and they are awful to them. Since you have extra time off you should check on them. You mom said she needed your help with something important but she said she could only tell you. Aunt Lola said she tried but and this was exactly what she said “that crazy old bat will only tell my big brother I guess he can deal with her bitchiness.”
“How are you going to say you paid for this. Steve don’t listen to her she didn’t pay for it you did.” Misty my mother says. I roll my eye she is so stupid.
“Okay mom if you paid for it what did it cost and did we do the work or did you hire someone if so who?” I ask crossing my arms leaning against my desk I see Ashley heading for my dresser. “Ashley stay out of my shit if you don’t want your ass beat. I told you last time was the last and next time I would hurt you so try it I dare you. I paid for everything in this room except what dad brought back when he would come home and you know it.”
Ashley pulled the drawer open and tried to stick her hand in and dad snatched her up “did you not just here your sister to stay out of her stuff what is your problem? I didn’t raise you to steal and go through peoples things looks like military/correction school is in your future if you keep it up. Remember Ashley you have to see a judge to prove you can take care of yourself before you can be in charge of yourself after you were selling yourself last year. You told them you were crazy got put on 5150 and lied so now you have to deal with it and I will send you there if you don’t straighten up.”
“I told you Silvia told me to do it why don’t you believe me.” She says pouting and continued with her BS “I just wanted the neckless you gave her its not fair Misty said it belonged to me and she made you feel guilty so you gave it to her. She was just an accident and neither of her parents want her why do you have to be so nice to her.”
