Chapter 6

I shake my head to clear the thoughts of the stranger as I walk into the ASB room and we all get to work getting everything together and loaded in the back on the principles van. Then I get a text to go to the office I see its 11 am. When I get to the office I see all 3 of my Step siblings my mom and Steve sitting there.

"Hi Silvia, I see you got your step-dads message?” Says Mr. Foster the principle. I nod and he continues “Your stepdad said Ashley is clamming we stole her grades and gave them to you which is impossible for us to do. I hope you don’t mind Mr. Jefferson that I waited till you all were here to talk to you. I have actually tried to meet with you several times but Miss Mason is always the one to show up.” He takes a pause to take a breath before talking again.

My mother not knowing when to shut up has this look on her face like she is constipated “Its Mrs. Jefferson.”

“No ma’am it Mason because your ID says so. Please don’t speak anymore I am tired of talking to you. Mr. Jefferson your kids aren’t walking and I have tried to reach out but you are never the one to show up. The only one graduating here is Silvia. Did Miss Mason ever tell you I wanted to meet with you?” Mr. Foster says.

“Who do you think you are to talk to me that way? I am married to Steve I have his last name.” She was going to keep going but now I am annoyed.

“Shut up mom if you want to use the name change you last name but the last time I checked you cant Steve did check that box when you got married and I don’t blame him. Do you want me to tell this room how you all ended up married or are you going to shut up and let Steve and Mr. Foster talk.” She shut up real quick. She lied to him and said she was pregnant and she was but not his kid and then she took pills to make it look like a miscarriage I told Steve when I seen her take them. It was my sibling she killed that day so yeah I told on her.

Steve nods his head at me to say thanks and he will take it from here. “Mr. Foster I didn’t know I am sorry. I am starting to learn Misty has kept a lot from me. You say none of them will graduate does that mean they are that far behind?”

“None of them show up for school more than 1 to 2 days a week so no even if they did summer school those 2 need 2 full years as well. Jerold is a freshman and he will need all 4 years still he didn’t show up for school much either. He did how ever turn in the work by email. So I don’t know if your wife just didn’t bring him. I know when I asked Silvia about it she said she wasn’t allowed to bring him because he wasn’t allowed on her bike. We know she only has that at transportation so that left it up to your other 2 or wife to bring them and she will never answer me as to why they are never here other than bad health but there physicals where fine when you turned them in this year no chronic problems. Steven wouldn’t be allowed to be on the football team if he had health problems.” He says with a serious look on his face.

“I didn’t know any of that. I will have to take leave to fix all of this. You said Silvia gets to walk right. So I take it my wife has lied about Silvia to me as well. She said all the school trips are because Silvia picks on Ashley.” Steve is starting to see that my mom is a bigger liar than he thought.

"Sir, Silvia is a Straight A student and is our valedictorian. I have always watched the camera footage and asked around what happened so I know Silvia is the innocent one in all of this. Ashley on the other hand has destroyed property, she’s been caught with or using drugs on campus, no show to school, having sex in the bathroom, stealing from the lockers with her brothers. The sad part is her brothers are there for all of it either playing guard for her or helping her with it. I have given your wife flyers for military school on several different occasions so your kids don’t end you living on K St or working Inyo. I know I shouldn’t say that but that is what happens and we all know it.” Mr. Foster looks frustrated now.

“Okay well lets sign them up for that. If they aren’t graduating then they will go there. I am not having kids who end up in prison or on drugs” he says.

“To late for that dad. My lovely mother has been doing drugs with them all year,” I say out loud for a change I am leaving anyway.

“How dare you lie about me and say do drugs” my mother just don’t know when to stop.

“Okay mom if you aren’t then dad can drug test you when you get home right, hell I will do it with you all.” I say back with a smirk on my face.

“I think that’s a good idea” Steve says.

“Daddy how are you going to believe this man and Silvia over me and mom? You know I go to school everyday. This man is mad I wouldn’t sleep with him.” She says and I start laughing my ass off. “Don’t laugh at me you loser at least my parents love me.”

Alright she wants to act like that I can screw her more “For one Mr. Foster’s husband might take offence to him all of a sudden wanting to sleep with a little girl considering you don’t have the right parts I am going to call bull shit.” She looks shocked when I say that, “For two we have different teachers so how did mine see me when you both say it wasn’t me and yours didn’t see you that makes no since. We scan our ID cards at the door to get in the class remember. If you are going to lie do better. Can you both leave me out of you BS please I just wanted to go about life and I don’t ask for shit just to be left alone and you cant even do that.”
