Chapter 9

The guard walks back over and hands us a stack of papers 20 minutes later. Ricks mom Sandy walked in and so did Sophia’s mom Susan. The first thing out of Sandy’s mouth has my dad pissed. “What did you are your stupid girlfriend do and why is you ex standing there you broke up with her 6 months ago.”

“Well Sandy that is news to me because he was bitching this morning that I broke up with him after he defended Ashley for the 100th time over her being a thief, a liar and a druggy who sleeps with anyone who will sleep with her including Rick I am guessing. We are all here because Susan’s daughter has been using a card that I didn’t know even existed to shop for her self that is in my name attached to Steve’s bank. She can say its not her but her an Rick are in all the footage that the store printed out and a list of stuff worth about $10,000 all together. Some are men’s items and some woman’s. So please tell me how you guy’s plan to fix this. She has been stealing for 1 year from Steve. He could take you to court but I guessing by the shocked look on your face you had no idea.” I say looking at all of them the other 2 look pale they know they cant say I knew or I would have been there on a least a couple of transactions.

“You gave me the card Silvia why are you lying to Steve.” Sophia said.

“Okay if she did when did you get it?” Steve said.

“1 month ago” Sophia says with so much confidence that I would believe her if I didn’t have the footage in front of me.

“You do know I have pictures that show you 2 kissing well paying for the whole year right. Why would I let my boyfriend kiss my best friend? Are you stupid? I didn’t know there was a card till Steve asked about it today. I am guessing he asked my mom before when I spent to much and it flagged it so she blamed me. I guess I should say ex-boyfriend and ex-best friend.” I say then hand the 2 extra files they made to Sandy and Susan.

The cops walked in with the malls management and asked “so did you know they had your card Silvia and Steve?”

“No we did not sir, they must have got it from my wife or other daughter but it wasn’t theirs to give it was supposed to be for Silvia for is she needed something or had an emergency not this little bitch and his mistress to use. “ Steve says looking at Rick when he says it.

Rick looks scared he is 18 he will be charged as an adult. Sophia is 17 so she might not. I don’t know it’s a lot of money. “Alright they are both coming with us then.” The cops put cuffs on them and read them there rights. There moms look pissed they both walk over to me.

“How can you let them be taken away? They have done so much for you.” Susan says.

“I see they have lied to you too. They have done nothing for me but defend my step-sister Ashley who even Steve is mad at for lying among other things. I am the one who Tutored them, I am the one who made sure they had what they need to do there work. I treated them right and they repay me by stealing from the one parent I have that cares about me, please tell me how me having shitty parents makes them any better than me because according to both of them I don’t deserve anything because of it. The last I checked they both are missing a parent and you don’t treat them like crap for it do you?” they both shake there heads no at the question. “Yeah I know because you aren’t a drug addict like my mother. So they had a good life I got beat and told I wasn’t good enough so save it they are bad people no matter what I did I wasn’t enough. If you don’t believe me go through there phone have the cop open them for you. You will be shocked at the things they do that you don’t know.”

Susan being just like her daughter went to hit me and the cop grabbed her arm and said “were you really going to hit a minor for telling you the truth? If you don’t like it than change don’t take it out on her she has had enough to deal with. I have arrested her mom plenty of times for hurting her but the lawyer she gets always gets her off. Don’t get me wrong its been a year but I know I have seen her in the drunk tank since then. Your kids are spoilt and destructive deal with it and leave this girl alone.”

Susan pulled her arm away and said something even stupider than I thought she could “so you sleep with your stepdad and the cop so they are on you side or what.”

I gag “are you really that stupid? I am a minor he is a cop I doubt he wants to lose his job over a piece of ass and Steve is my dad I don’t do anything with anyone unlike your daughter. Plus I am a virgin which is more than I can say for Sophia. I am guessing from the text she sent my on accident that she slept with Rick last night. So watch who you insult or you will find all you personal information where everyone can find it. Even if you have an STD so bring it Susan.” I say with sharpness to my voice that says I ain’t playing game.

“You cant falsely accuse people of things like that miss it will get you in trouble she can sue you and so can I for that matter. Please walk away from this girl and her father before we have a problem and keep your hands to yourself.” He says as he guides her out.

Sandy on the other hand didn’t yell at me she just says “I am sorry my son hurt you I didn’t know I don’t condone cheating he knows that. His dad did it to me then left and moved to Florida with his younger girlfriend and never looked back. I thought I taught him better than this. I will go through his phone and see what has gotten into him. I am sorry, Steve, I didn’t know and with me being here I should have. Misty didn’t let me around much maybe she knew I would tell you. Bye guys.” She than walks way.
