Chapter 3
(THE NEXT DAY)
Another day had dawned, fetching new expectancies and aspirations. The light of the new dawn seeped into the room.
The strong bright light coming from the window was what woke Adelaide up.She yawned and tried to stand up but something was holding her back, she groaned tirelessly and touched the thing and her eyes widened when she realized it was someone's hand.
A smile spread on her face when she thought of who the person might be, so Dalton was back to her, she felt the person stirring up and his hand leave her waist.
“Didn't know you were here,” the person whispered and kissed her neck which made her body tingling.
“So we are here together this morning, does that mean you're just playing a prank on me when you said you're getting engaged?” She asked softly.
“Engagement? Jasmine, what are you talking about?” Noah asked.
“Who's Jasmine?” She asked in confusion, the person's hand left her waist and he turned her over so that he could see her face.
A scream left their mouth as they looked at each other. Adelaide looks around the room and the memory of last night fills her brain, she can see her clothes and undies all over the floor.
“Who are you?” Noah asked in surprise.
He couldn't explain while a girl was beside him on the bed, she was naked too which means they did something. Before Adelaide can say anything, the door bursts open and a look of reporters rush into the room with their microphones and cameras.
Noah Everest , is it true you're cheating on your girlfriend, Jasmine Dennis ?
Who is this lady? We heard she's a waitress, is it true?
I thought you people are an important family, why are you doing this ? The reporters throw questions at them while they try to cover each other so that they won't get their naked picture.
Noah didn't even know what was going on, the last thing he remembers is having fun with his friend. The guards came into the room and sent the reporters out.
“What the heck men, I have been looking for you everywhere,” Stanley said while coming into the room.
Noah stands up from the bed but quickly covers himself when he sees he's naked.
“Excuse us, let me dress up,” Noah said and Stanley left the room.
He packed his clothes and went to the bathroom. Adelaide packed her clothes and started wearing them at fast-pace. She ran towards the door but his voice stopped her before she could open the door. He had dressed up already, she walked slowly back to the bed and sat down.
Noah requested for her name and asked her how something like this happened between them.
She hasn't had the guts to look at his face since they started talking. How can she look at the man that she gave the virginity she has been planning to give her future husband on the night of their wedding.
Noah walked out from the room, maybe they may see each other again, maybe not. She mutters as tears of regret fell out of her eyes, she removed the bed sheet and can see the blood stains on it, she remove it and took it to the laundry room, she was walking slowly because of the pains she was feeling, a proof of what she has done, she sighed and throw the clothes into the washing machine, she switch it on and watch as it washes it.
She checked her phone and saw a lot of missed calls, fifteen from Francisco, two from Martha. She saw a text message and checked it too.
WHERE ARE YOU? WHY ARE YOU NOT HOME, I HOPE YOU ARE FINE, PLEASE PICK MY CALL
She muttered sadly as her mind went to Noah. She made sure to dry the bedsheets before returning it to the bed. She quickly prepared for her day job which is in the restaurant.
She looked straight in the mirror and saw the bigger mess her life would be in a few days to come. Being dumped by her ex-lover and a one-night stand with some random guy!
“What happened there, who is that girl?” Stanley asked as they entered the car.
“I'm not in the mood to say, who are those reporters? How did they get into the VIP room without being stopped?” Noah asked, he really found the whole situation weird.
“What if they posted the picture online?” Stanley asked.
“I don't think they'll do that, I think they want to use it to threaten me for money or whatever,” Noah said.
“I hope that's what it's,” Stanley said gently.
Noah who was weird already thought it was a plan work somebody deliberately did and he's gonna find out who the f**k person is. They zoomed off immediately.
A guy was riding very fast on his motorbike that people around ran fearfully, some were even fearing him because of his speed. He stopped in front of a mansion and carried the package he wanted to deliver, he went to deliver it and came about to climb the bike and he quickly removed his helmet to check the message.
I AM OKAY FAN, I'M JUST TOO BUSY THAT'S WHY I DIDN'T COME BACK HOME LAST NIGHT, SEE YOU TONIGHT… the message read was from his sister. He muttered and was about to return the phone when his eyes caught the headline.
The popular Model Dalton Landon, is engaged and will soon get married to his sweetheart, just looking at the girl's picture, he knows that wasn't his sister and that makes his face frown in anger.
He can remember the way Dalton has been treating his sister badly but he tolerates him because of his sister but now this is extreme. He now understands the reason for his sister's weird behavior.
“He's gonna regret this,” he muttered and climbed his bike.
Francisco was the opposite of his sister. Adelaide was a very gentle girl which she got from her mother, all she wants is peace.
Francisco was the total opposite, he was known for his bad boy vibe even before he was done with highschool, he had a tattoo on his arm and a piercing on his face and lips. Everyone just avoids him.
He didn't tolerate people messing with his sister and that's what happened right now so Dalton should be ready for him.
He stopped in front of his company and came down, he stormed into the company and was stopped by the receptionist but he just walked past her and entered the elevator. He has been here before so he knows his office. He popped into the room without knocking and saw him on his chair.
“Fransisco, what are you doing here?” Dalton asked while standing up from his chair.
“Why did you do to my sister?” He asked calmly.
“So she has come to you, I should have known, I said I'm no longer interested,” he said while rolling his eyes.
“So you broke her heart, she didn't come home last night,” he said.
“How is that my business?” Dalton asked.
“You know I don't like when people mess with her, Francisco said, his face turning deadly.
“You can't do anything, I have security guards remember,” Dalton said and picked up his phone.
He talks to his secretary and watches Fransisco who went to his door, he locks the door and removes the key.
“What are you doing?” Dalton asked fearfully.
“ I'm dealing with you,” Fransisco said and removed his belt.
“Don't you dare,” Dalton said while moving back fearfully.
“I'm doing it,” Fransisco said.
He ran to him, he whipped him with the belt and his painful scream filled the office. The guards were already at the door but they couldn't open the door because it was locked.
(Everest Villa)
That's the biggest and most beautiful building in all the United States. A lot of people wish to visit and get a glimpse of the amazing mansions inside the place. But this Villa was for only the Everests, they all lived together according to their father's rule.
All the four children have a mansion prepared for when they married and there is still a lot of land to build mansions for the grandchildren. The villa has a beautiful garden, a beach and a lot of amazing things.
A Buggati Veyron drove into the big and beautiful environment and Noah came out of the car. He loved to drive himself because he didn't have any driver. He was still troubled as to the reason. He was into the big sitting room of the main mansion . The place is very big with a lot of books, enter slowly and meet Mr Everest's eyes.
“What are all these?” Mr Everest asked.
He showed him something on the wide tablet he was holding. Noah's eyes widened when he saw the video of him and Adelaide.
“ I don't even know seriously, I just woke up beside her, I don't even know the girl,” he said calmly.
“Are you hearing yourself? So you don't know a girl but you slept with her, this is all over the internet,” his father yelled at him.
“I'm sorry,” he said gently.
He doesn't know what to say because the whole stuff is still confusing him.
“This isn't about sorry Noah, you've a daughter and a girlfriend too but you are sleeping with a girl, not just a girl, a waitress!!!” He yelled.
“I don't even know how it happened,” he said.
“Shut up, see what people are saying about us,” he said and clicked on the comments section.
“I'm very sorry dad, if only I knew what to do,” Noah said calmly.
“There's nothing…… okay I think I might actually have a solution,” his dad said.
Noah raised his head up. He met him smiling and that alone got him more curious.
“What is it ?” He asked.
“Do you know anything about the girl?” He asked.
“Just her name, Adelaide Salvatore,” Noah siad, still looking confused.
“Then get to know her more,” his father said.
“Why?” He asked with raised eyebrows.
“Because you both will be getting married soon,” Mr Everest said and Noah's eyes widened.
“What!!!” He asked his eyes shockingly.
