Chapter 5
(A STATION)
Adelaide rushed into the place, she was panting heavily, her hair looked so rough, she was at the restaurant when she was called by someone that her brother was arrested. She rushed to meet him in the cell but was dragged back by the police.
“Calm down ma'am,” the cop said.
“Why is my brother locked up?” She asked while looking at Fransisco who was smiling at her.
“He beat up man” the cops said and Adelaide gasped in shock.
“Who is the person?” Adelaide asked and just then Dalton came in with his mum and fiancee.
“Mum” Adelaide called and looked and wanted to hug her but the woman shifted away.
“Don't even dare touch me with your disgusting body” she said and Dalton's fiancee smiled.
“Mum” Adelaide called shockingly, she can still remember how women always hug her and call her daughter in law, how she will say she wishes they can marry quickly.
“Don't call me that, someone like you can't call me mum” the woman snapped.
“Don't you dare shout at her, old hag” Fransisco said from the cell.
“Look at what your brother did to my son” the woman yelled which made Adelaide look at Dalton. She should have known this is what happened.
Dalton's face was filled with scars and plaster, and she wondered what his body would look like.
“Why did you do that?” Adelaide directed the question at Francisco.
“Cause he deserves it for breaking your heart, I will do more if I have the chance, no one should mess with you” Fransisco said.
“See what the wretched kid is saying “ Dalton’s fiancee yelled.
“Calm down Barbie, you won't want to lose your voice, and also your voice sounds irritating, I don't want to hear it again,” Fransisco said.
“How dare you” she yelled while walking closer to the cell but Dalton quickly held her back.
“Please can you forgive us and release him” Adelaide pleaded.
“Then you will have to go on your knees” Dalton's mum said with a smirk.
“Sister don't listen to them, I am okay” Fransisco said but Adelaide went on her knees immediately.
“Please, release my brother” she pleaded.
“What a poor girl you are, too bad I am not listening to you, he will remain here till my son's scars heal” she said and Adelaide watched as they walked out of the station.
“Don't cry, I am okay” Fransisco said but she just stood up and walked out.
Noah check the time again and look around, he has been here for about thirty minutes and he hasn't seen the girl, the neighborhood was terrifying him because of how dirty it looks, he was about to give up and just go when he saw her coming, she was dragging her leg slowly, it seems like she is in a deep thoughts, he watch this she get to his place and her eyes widen when she saw him.
“Noah Everest, what are you doing here?” She asked.
“I came to see you, Can we talk in your house?” he said and she nodded before leading him to her house , they arrived and he looked around the small apartment.
“We can go to another place if you are not comfortable” she said after seeing the look on his face.
“No no, I am okay,” he said and sat on her small bed.
“So what brought you here?” She asked gently.
“You might know what was going on on the internet now because of our nightstand,” he said.
“Yeah, I can't forget the hateful look I received from people I don't even know,” Adelaide said gently.
“So it gets me into a serious situation and I will really need your help”he said.
“My help?” She asked in confusion and he nodded.
“So what is it?” She asked.
“I want us to get married” he dropped the bombshell.
“What” she gasps.
“Please don't reject me, it will really benefit us, since people think bad of us now, getting married will really help, please don't say no,” he pleaded.
“I understand what you are saying, but marriage is not something you just did, it is a lifetime commitment and we know nothing about each other so how do you expect us to marry?” she said slowly.
“This is really important to me and my family. Tell me anything you want is money, I also hear you wish for your brother to go to college. I will send him to the best college in this state, I will change your people's lives,” he said desperately.
“Everything is not about money, I have always wished to marry the person I love” she said as her mind went to Dalton, she had planned their future together and didn't know everything would turn out this way, the thought of how she was publicly embarrassed suddenly filled her head and she sighs sadly.
“If you accept this, your life will change forever” Noah's voice snapped her out of her thoughts.
“You don't seem to understand what I am saying?” She said gently.
“I understand but think about it, you will have everything that you desire, I will make that possible myself” he said seriously.
“I will accept if you also accept my deal” she suddenly said. It's about time to put all those treating her and her brother in their place.
“Tell me anything you want,” he said.
“Do you know a company named ADEFRAN MOTOR?” She asked gently.
“Yeah, That's where I bought my cars,” Noah said.
“That company belongs to my parents, we lost it after their death,” she said.
“So what do you want me to do?” He asked.
“I want you to get the company back for me, can you do that?” She asked.
“That's the littlest thing I can do,” he said with a proud smile.
“Can you release my brother from the cell too?” she asked further.
“I can bail a murderer out If I wanted to,” he said coolly.
“Then let's get married” she said as they both stared at each other.
