Chapter 9

It had been three days since Rose fainted. She didn't wake up for three days. Her mother cried daily for her to the Moon Goddess. She couldn't understand what happened to her child. She was worried about her health. She had no one except her daughter. She lost her husband last year, and she did not want to lose her daughter too.

Alpha Michael and his mate Rivana were also taking care of Rose. They tried to contact some people who could help her. But still no progress.

Arvan didn't like the idea of Rose living in the pack house. But he was relieved that he could not smell her anymore. That meant the rejection was completed successfully. When she woke up, they wouldn't be mates anymore.

However, one thing felt strange to him. ' Why don't I feel her scent? Does something happen to her wolf?' He thought.

His wolf was very angry with him. His wolf couldn't accept the word rejection. He continually told Arvan to go and see Rose what happened to her.

But Arvan, the cruelest Alpha, didn't go to see her once.

The next day, Alice came to the pack house to meet Rose. When she went to the guest room. She saw Rose's fingers were moving. She screamed, "Auntie, come here fast. Rose's fingers are moving."

Selena, Alpha Michael, his mate Rivana, Vector, Liam, and Rita everyone came to the room quickly.

Micheal told Liam, " Liam, son, call the pack doctor immediately." Liam called the doctor.

The doctor came and checked on Rose.

"Surprisingly, her heart rate is normal now. I'm giving her some doses. She will wake up very soon. When she wakes up, call me. I'll come to check, I need to talk with her." The doctor said.

"Is there anything serious, doctor Harry?" Alpha Michael asked the doctor.

"No. Nothing. Just normal things about her health. She is out of danger now." The doctor assured him.

Everyone was relaxed after hearing that. Selena and Alice felt relieved.

When everyone was busy with Rose, Rita whispered,

"Liam, I want to talk with you."

Liam nodded and went out of the room with her.

They went to their room.

"Tell me, honey." Liam said while looking at his powerful mate.

"I'm your mate, right?" Rita asked.

"Why are you asking that? Of course, you are." Liam kissed her lips and hugged her.

"Then why did you hide something from me like that?" Rita growled.

"What?" Liam moved and looked at her.

"I know that night when Rose fainted, Arvan was with her. Lina told me that night Arvan wished her and wanted to discuss something with her. As far as I know, he is not the man to do that. When we took Rose to the guest room, he was not there. You also left without saying anything. I didn't ask you about this because I was watching you and Arvan. Something is not okay. And you are hiding it from your mate." Rita said.

"Promise me, you will never tell your friend Lina about that if I tell you. Okay?" Liam said.

"I promise, tell me what is happening Liam." She told him while caressing his cheeks.

"Rose was Arvan's mate, Rita." Liam said.

"WHAT?" She almost screamed.

"Sshh, I know. I had the same reaction at first." Liam said.

"Rose is Arvan's mate? Our future Luna?" She asked shockingly.

"Was." Liam corrected her.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"He rejected her." Liam said, while looking down. He had been upset with his friend's behavior for the last four days.

"He dared?" Rita got angry.

"Rita, are you angry? Shouldn't you be happy to hear that? Your friend will be your future Luna." Liam asked confusingly.

"I supported her because she told me that she loved Arvan and Arvan didn't have any mate. So everyone thought the fact of Lina's rejection was somehow connected with Arvan.

But Arvan had a mate. How could he reject her? I don't like rejections. You know, what if it was me who got rejected? And rejecting Luna or Alpha in our Pack is taboo. She almost died. How dare he!" Rita said with anger.

"You are so pure, my love. You are an alpha but still, feel others' pain. You are making me fall for you hard." Liam said and kissed her forehead.

"I'm an alpha but I also have humanity. I'm not a cruel beast like Arvan." She replied.

"Everything will be okay. She will wake up soon." Liam said. Rita frowned at her eyebrows.

"What happened, honey?" Liam asked.

She replied,

"Nothing. I feel something strange about her. I'll talk with her when she wakes up."
