Chapter 10
The kids arrived at the pack house and they got informed about the alpha's absence.
Aila smiled looking around then she saw a maid staring at her intensely.
"Aila, let's go!" Her teacher called.
"Coming!" She responded and ran along with her classmates.
The kids board the bus and that maid staring at Aila ran to the bus.
She looked around at the bus in search of Aila and she found her.
Aila stared at her through the window.
"What's your mum's name?" She asked.
Aila looked at her a bit confused about why she asked such a question.
"Alessia!" She finally replied.
The maid smiled as tears crowded her eyes.
"You're a beautiful young girl!" She complimented me and walked away.
Aila kept staring at her till she disappeared into the pack house.
Aila smiled when she remembered the lady just complimented her.
Damian and Dre arrived at the fallen cliff.
"Move aside!" Damian said to the guards blocking the way.
He went down the cliff. He searched around if he could sense Nalda's presence but she wasn't there and he smiled inwardly.
"Have you checked if there are any houses around?" Damian asked one of the guards.
"Yes, we checked but there are no houses around. There's a mountain though where werewolves go during the full moon to strengthen themselves" One of the guards informed and Damian nodded.
He turned to Dre.
"Let's go!" He said and walked back to his car.
Dre followed.
"Aren't you going to find out more about the mountain? Shouldn't we at least go there and see if there're any traces of Nalda there?" Dre asked.
Damian nodded negatively.
"Nalda's alive and that's what matters to me. I don't have to find her, she's only a rogue right now. She ran away from her pack, finding her is against my rules" Damian said and got into his car.
Dre looked at him a bit confused about what he meant by his words.
A call came in through his phone.
Asher was the one calling.
Dre moved away from the car before taking the call.
"So what are the updates? What was Damian's reaction? Is he sending forces out to go search for her?" Asher asked over the phone.
Dre looked back at Damian was who seated in the car so relaxed.
"It doesn't seem that way. He said she's a rogue now and it's against his rules to search for her. I've got a feeling he's got something else up his sleeve" Dre stated.
"It's weird how he's been so quiet ever since Nalda disappeared. I'm beginning to ponder on my thoughts if Nalda's truly his mate" Asher said.
Dre exhaled sharply.
"I thought you liked Nalda also. Have you moved on? Cos I noticed, you're not making any efforts to find your mate either" Dre rubbed it in.
"I'm busy. Talk to you later!" Asher said and hung up the call.
Dre laughed shaking his head.
Walked back to the car and got in.
"You're done gossiping about me?" Damian asked with his eyes fixed on his phone.
"Damian, you have to stop eavesdropping on my every conversation with someone..." Dre complained.
Damian smirked.
"It's not my fault, I've got excellent ears! Let's head back to the pack house. I'm hoping the kids haven't left yet!" He said.
"It's a good thing, you're finally opening up to kids but don't overdo it," Dre said and started the car engine.
They drove down to the pack house and they saw the kid's bus leaving.
"Dre, stop the car!" Damian ordered and jumped out of the car.
Damian ran speedily to the front of the bus with the help of his powers.
The bus driver stepped on the brakes in shock.
"Thank you!" Damian said and ran into the bus.
"Aila!" He called out.
Aila stood up from where she was seated.
"Hey... You can't be doing this here! We have to leave before it gets dark!" One of the teachers spoke up.
"I'm sorry, I just need a minute!" Damian said and ran to Aila.
Aila smiled at him.
"You're back!" She said and Damian nodded then bent over to her.
"I know it's strange to share your address with a stranger but I would love to see you again. Where can I find you when I come to Ironwood Pack?" He asked.
Aila leaned towards his ears.
"Ironwood Packhouse!" She whispered.
Damian looked at her a bit shocked.
"Your father's Alpha Jerome?" He asked and one of the teachers walked to him.
"I'm sorry sir but you have to go out. We're running late. It's not safe to drive the kids late at night when it's almost the full moon so we have to go now. Please go down!" She said and Damian smiled at Aila.
She waved at him.
He got out of the bus. Dre was standing in front of the car waiting for him.
IRONWOOD PACK...
Nalda was heading back to the pack house when she got a call.
She took the call while still driving.
"Why did you call?" She asked over the phone.
"You're not possibly thinking of bailing out now when we're so close to achieving our goals right?" A lady's voice echoed at the other end of the call.
Nalda smirked.
"I'm working on it. I still haven't gotten all the names of the members who betrayed my father!" Nalda said seriously.
"You think that's easy. You will have to do more than just be a stripper to get them to speak. Do you want my help?" She asked.
Nalda tightened her grip on the steering.
"Give me two days. If no progress then I'll turn to you!" She said and hung up the call.
FLASHBACK...
On the day Nalda was pushed over the cliff.
Nalda fell and bruised her arms and legs. She covered her belly with her hands.
She screamed painfully with tears rolling down her eyes.
She looked at her side and found a white wolf staring at her.
"Finally found you!" The wolf uttered and Nalda looked at her still in tears.
"Your father left us with unfinished business. How about you get back at them for everything they did to you? I can help you get revenge! I'll make you stronger!" The lady said and shifted forms back to a human.
Nalda shut her eyes crying even more.
"Please can you help me first? I'm in so much pain right now!" She winced.
The lady walked to Nalda and checked her pulse.
"You're pregnant with Damian's child?" She gushed angrily.
"After everything he did to your family. You still got pregnant for him! How can you be such a fool?" The lady yelled.
"Who are you please and why are you yelling at me? I don't even know you!"
The lady heard footsteps approaching their direction.
"You'll see me soon!" She said and ran into the woods.
Nalda lost consciousness as the pain became unbearable for her.
Days later after Nalda settled at Jerome's.
T saw the lady staring at her from the garden, she appeared in her wolf form again.
Nalda walked to her.
"I thought I was hallucinating in the woods. You're actually real. Who are you and what do you want from me?" Nalda asked seriously.
"I'm your mum's twin sister and the only relative you've got left on earth. The only thing I want from you is revenge! It still pains me dearly that I lost my only sister to that young alpha. His reason for ending her is unjustified and I want revenge!"
"My mum never told me, she had a sister more or less a twin. Mum's an orphan so don't try to play smart with me!" Nalda fired.
The lady transitioned into a human.
"She never told you about me cos we parted ways right before she moved down to the moon shadow pack with your father. I was against her marriage with your father and to make matters worse, he was from a different pack and I hated him so much for that. I was only being ignorant... When I finally realized I was wrong for judging her, I tried to make amends with her but she ended up getting killed by that young Alpha" the lady explained.
Nalda stared at her, gradually falling for her stories but then she remembered what she went through in the pack house.
I can't be a fool twice.
"I'll need more than just words to be convinced. I need real proof"
FLASHBACK ENDS...
Ever since that day, Nalda has been trying so hard to get to the bottom of what led to her parent's death. She began to train herself for any worse scenarios in the future since she's got kids to protect as well.
Nalda walked into the pack house and she heard giggling and the sound of laughter coming from Jerome's sitting room.
She wanted to walk away like she heard nothing but then she heard Aaron's voice coming from there coupled with a lady's voice.
She furrowed her eyebrows.
"That doesn't sound like Jerome's mum's voice!" Nalda uttered and walked back to the sitting room.
Aaron jumped down from the sofa he was seated. He ran to Nalda and gave her a tight hug.
"Momma, you're back!" Aaron said with a smile.
Nalda smiled back.
"Who brought you back from school?" She asked.
"Uncle Jerome did! He wanted to help you out today" Aaron replied.
"Alright, Aaron take my bag to the bedroom. I got you something!"Nalda squealed.
Aaron held the beg with a wide smile and he zoomed off to their room.
Nalda smiled at Jerome. She was about to take a step when the lady sitting next to Jerome turned around.
"You!" Nalda glared at her.
It was the damsel from this morning.
"Oh... So that's your son?" She asked.
Nalda glared at her, ignoring her questions.
"Jerome, what's going on? You never told me you've got a baby mama!" She said.
Nalda clenched her fist angrily.
"And what's that supposed to mean?" Nalda asked almost blowing up.
Jerome laughed standing up from his chair.
"Alessia, you can relax! Linzy's just a friend. She means no harm and don't take her words to heart. She's got a sarcastic attitude in her" Jerome clarified.
Nalda scoffed, joining them on the couch.
"Now I see where all the garbage words.. oops, I meant savage words came from! Good trait you've got, little Linzy" Nalda forced a smile on.
"Hahaha funny... and I'm not little!" Linzy laughed sarcastically.
Jerome sat down stealing glances at Nalda as she threw a savage glare at Linzy.
"Someone's got love in their eyes!" Linzy caught Jerome and he coughed.
Nalda stared at the both of them suspiciously.
Linzy and Jerome? She questioned in her head not reading the chemistry.
"Alessia, I heard Aila went on a school trip. It's a good thing, you allowed her to go. She's going to have lots of fun things to say concerning her trip" Jerome said with a smile.
"You've got two kids with her?" Linzy asked curiously.
Should I butt in so she doesn't get the wrong idea? Or just let her misunderstand for speaking rudely to me? Nalda questioned in her head and leaned back with a smirk on her lips.
Jerome stared at her, hoping to get her to refuse or clarify Linzy's words but Nalda stayed calm.
NEXT DAY ...
Aila arrived from her trip and she kept Aaron hooked up with her narration from her trip.
Nalda left them in the room after laughing to her heart's content at the funny remarks Aila made about the people she met.
Nalda to Jerome's study to gossip about Linzy. She didn't get the chance to talk much about it cos Linzy spent the night at the pack house.
"Jerome!" Nalda called out and walked into the study.
Her heart skipped a beat when she saw Damian seated next to Jerome.
She swiftly ran out.
Damian turned around quickly when he felt Nalda's presence.
"Who was that?" He asked curiously standing up from his chair.
