Chapter 6

Nalda ran into the woods, panting. She kept looking back if anyone was after her but then she noticed Hazel hadn't sent out any guards after her.

She sat on the ground leaning on a tree she tried to catch her breath but she felt slight pains in her belly.

Hazel walked into Nalda's room with her claws sticking out but she held them behind her back.

"Nalda!" Hazel called looking around the room.

No one responded to her call then she went into the bathroom, still no sign of Nalda.

"Nalda!!" Hazel called out angrily.

Damian stated clearly to her that she wasn't allowed to go out of the room. Hazel said in her head seriously l.

She was about to head out of the room when she saw a piece of Nalda's clothes on the floor.

She picked it up, staring at it and a quick thought crossed her mind.

Hazel opened her eyes in shock and ran into Nalda's changing room. She opened the wardrobe and found out some hangers were missing.

"Nalda, that wench!" Hazel groaned and ran out of the room.

She placed a call across to August.

"August, there's a problem... I think Nalda ran away! Some of her things are missing and I can't seem to find her around. I don't think she's gone far. What do you suggest I do or should I report this to Damian? He might think of an easier way to go get her!" Hazel said anxiously.

"Don't get Damian involved, it might complicate things for us. She will be put under strict surveillance and that's going to ruin our plans of ending her. How about you look around the pack house while I search for her in the woods, I'm pretty sure that's the only escape route there. I was on my way to you when you called. See you in the woods!" August said and hung up.

Hazel took in a few deep breaths and glared at Nalda's room door.

"Nalda!" She kept calling out as she looked around the pack house.

Damian and Asher walked into Damian's lodge when they arrived in Greece.

Damian walked to the window.

"We're so far away from home!" He stated in a worried tone.

Asher walked to him.

"That's strange! This is the first time, you're ever mentioning something like this. You miss Hazel that much?" Asher teased and Damian glared at him moving away from the window.

"What do you take us for? Newlyweds... I just hope she's not doing anything..." Damian pursed and looked at Asher.

"Give me some space. I need to take a nap before we meet with them! Go have a rest yourself. It was a long trip" Damian said taking off his tie.

Asher nodded with a bow then left the room.

Damian fell on his bed tiredly.

" Zander, can you still feel Nalda's presence? What do you think she's up to right now?" He asked calmly.

'I can't feel her presence but I sense danger around her' Zander said and Damian sat up.

Danger? What danger could she be in? What's Hazel up to? He questioned in his head and took out his phone.

He placed a call across to Hazel but she wasn't taking any of her calls.

He tried calling the landline in Nalda's room still no response.

Damian got out of his bed.

He swiftly placed a call across to Asher.

"Do you need anything? I just left your room seconds ago" Asher asked over the phone.

"I think something's going on back home. Hazel isn't taking her calls, and Nalda isn't. Send Sophia over to the pack house to go check up on Nalda" Damian said seriously.

"I thought you didn't want anyone knowing of her whereabouts?"

Damian shut his eyes as he ran his fingers through his hair.

"Just do it! Speak to your sister" He said and hung up.

HOURS LATER....

In The Woods...

Nalda was still groaning in pain on the floor when she heard rustling sounds of dry leaves being stepped on.

"Nalda..." August called in a sing-song as he approached Nalda's direction.

Nalda's heartbeat raced. She gently stood up from the floor holding her belly.

She wore her bag properly and took on her hills.

August heard her footsteps and ran after her.

Nalda was running so fast with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Was this the end for me and the alpha's child? What a terrible fate I've got. Was I cursed by the moon goddess?

Nalda threw all questions at herself as she ran, these thoughts brought tears before her eyes.

"Nalda, you better stop right there. That's a dead end!" August shouted from miles away.

Nalda stopped running when she got to the edge of a cliff.

She looked beneath it and it was so dark.

It looked more like an ocean down there or a swamp.

Nalda moved away as fear gripped her.

August ran to her and laughed loudly.

"What were you thinking? Running away. Do you have any idea what Damian would do to you when he finds out about this treacherous act of yours? Are you finally showing your true colors? Do you wish to rebel just like your father did?" August tried to provoke Nalda.

Nalda laughed while crying.

"That's rich coming from someone who plans on killing his friend just to have his Luna and his pack. Who's the treacherous one? You've been sleeping with his Luna all this while and you pretend to be his good friend. What do you think the alpha will do to you when he finds out? Don't underestimate Alpha Damian, nothing sweeps past his nose so watch it" She yelled.

August smirked.

"Thank you for confirming my doubts about you! You know everything and act like you don't. Hazel, do you hear that?" He asked and Hazel showed up by Nalda's side.

Hazel smirked and stood in front of Nalda.

"August was right after all. You really shouldn't be alive, when you know this much. Why didn't you just live a naive and ignorant life just like every other maid? Wait a minute, why haven't said anything to Damian? Did you fall for my threats or you were pretending to be scared?" Hazel asked.

Nalda looked away with a frown.

"Aren't you both here to finish me up? So why talk so much" Nalda said sucking in her fear with her fist clenched tight.

Hazel wore a blank expression, staring at her suspiciously.

"Shouldn't you be begging us to spare your life? That's what you're good at after all" Hazel said.

"You're not possibly waiting for Damian to come for your rescue right? He's far far away so stop dreaming and again, did I ever tell you about Damian's secret?" Hazel asked with a malicious smile.

Nalda looked at her with a shrug and Hazel took a few steps closer to her.

"Damian doesn't bang with strings attached so just in case you think he slept with you cos he feels something for you. It's all a lie, he told me all about it before going over to your room. He said you were going to fall for it cos you were naive and too cheap" Hazel laughed.

Hazel had a flashback of early hours of today when she saw Damian leaving Nalda's with a smile on. As she thought of it, a frown appeared on her face.

Nalda clenched her fist as tears were threatening to fall from her eyes but she held herself back from shedding a single tears in front of Hazel.

"You still won't beg me to spare your life?" Hazel halfyelled.

I have to break out of this curse of misfortune. I can't believe he told her everything, was I just some toy he needed to satisfy himself. I don't want to live like this anymore so moon goddess you better bless me with a better life if I leave this earth today. Nalda said in her head shutting her eyes.

"Hazel!" Sophia growled in her wolf form as she ran to Hazel and scratched her face with her claws.

Hazel fell on the floor. She touched her face and saw blood.

"How dare you!" Hazel grunted angrily as she shifted forms.

August was about to attack Sophia when two male werewolves jumped on him.

"Sop.." Nalda was about to call out to her when the pains she was feeling earlier started again.

She looked down on her legs, blood was rolling down her legs.

Nalda cried out loudly. She knew that was not a good sign.

Sophia turned to her, losing focus in her fight with Hazel.

She ran to Nalda to help her to the side but Hazel overtook her and pushed Nalda over the cliff.

Nalda's eyes widened in shock same as Sophia's as Nalda fell over.

"Nalda!" Sophia screamed.

Hazel stabbed her with her claws.

Sophia looked at her as her eyes turned red in anger.

"Go to hell!" Sophia gritted her teeth and slapped Hazel hard across the face.

DAYS LATER...

Damian arrived at the pack house.

He fumed hearing about Nalda's escape plan but he wasn't told the complete story.

Hazel was bedridden. She has deep injuries all over her body.

Damian walked into her room with his hands in his pocket.

"What happened to you? How did you sustain all this injury? I don't think Nalda has the ability to give you such deep cuts" He said.

Hazel coughed, her lips were pale. Her entire face was pale.

"This wasn't from Nalda!" She said and started coughing.

"Don't give me the details just yet. I came to ask you for something. Where's the key? The workers said, you locked her up in her room for days so hand the keys over" Damian demanded stretching his hand out.

Hazel managed to sit up, she was coughing continuously.

"Is she all you care about? Damian, can't you see me anymore? Take a good look at me. I almost died in the woods trying to catch that traitor of a surrogate. She tried to run away with our child" Hazel cried.

Damian exhaled deeply trying to hold back his anger.

"Hazel, regardless of whatever Nalda offense are. You should have waited for my response. How can you lock her up for days? Have you forgotten that Nalda's pregnant? She's carrying our child. The safety of that child should be your priority no matter what. So give me the key!" He demanded at once and Hazel took out the key from under her pillow.

Damian snatched it and walked out of the room.

Hazel smirked as she watched him leave.

Asher ran to Damian.

"You can't trust a word Hazel says till Sophia gains back her consciousness. Sophia has been unconscious for days now so don't listen to Hazel's side of the story alone" Asher forewarned.

Damian glared at him.

"Do I look like I give a f*ck about whatever both parties wants to say. They should pray to the moon goddess that Nalda and my child are safe. I don't really care if she's your sister cos both her and Hazel will pay dearly if my fears happen to be true" Damian said coldly and head to Nalda's room.

Damian grabbed the doorknob to insert the key when he found out the door was open.

He pushed the door and it cracked opened.

"Nalda!" He called out angrily and then saw a letter on Nalda's bed.

Damian picked it up and opened it.

He read the whole letter and he crushed it angrily.

"Asher!!!" Damian called out angrily.

"Send out all the guards and bring Nalda back to me!" He yelled.

SIX YEARS LATER...

IRONWOOD PACK hospital...

Nalda sat in the doctor's office with tears in her eyes.

"Ma'am, your daughter's injury isn't deep so don't worry, she will be fine in no time" The doctor informed and the tears in Nalda's eyes dropped.

"But doc, she was bleeding profusely!" Nalda uttered and just then her son ran in a hurry.

Nalda grabbed his arm.

"Aaron, watch it!" Nalda shouted and smiled as she noticed the doctor was frightened by her scream.
