Chapter 8
Jerome turned to Nalda.
"You know Alpha Damian?" He asked and Nalda awkwardly.
"What are you saying? I only asked cos I've heard of him on so many occasions. I was curious curious if he was the one you were referring to" Nalda said with a half smile.
Jerome nodded.
"I bet all the rumors you heard about him are true. He made Moon Shadow Pack the top three richest. He sure does have potential" He said with a smile.
Nalda smiled nervously.
"Yeah..." She said and Aaron called out to her.
"Momma!" Aaron called.
"I'm coming..."
"Excuse me, Jerome but I have to go attend to the kids now," Nalda said as she stood up.
Jerome stood up as well.
"I should come along also. I'm pretty sure the kids want me there as well" he said and Nalda forced him back on the chair.
"You don't have to. You just treated them to some ice cream. Right now, you have to discuss what to do next about this upcoming contract with Alpha Damian... He's very handful just like I heard" Nalda said and Jerome nodded taking in her words.
"I'll go now. Please go ahead with your business" Nalda said referring to his beta.
She quickly ran up to her room.
Aaron and Aila jumped on the bed playfully.
"The both of you stop that!" She yelled.
The kids stopped playing immediately. Nalda doesn't usually raise her voice at them but when she knows, she's got so much going on in her head.
Damian can't show up now. I'm never giving my kids up for him. I might have been naive when he used me but not anymore. Before he sets his eyes on my kids, he will have to stumble upon my dead body. Nalda said in her head seriously as she sat down on a couch, fidgeting with her thumb finger in her mouth.
Nalda was lost in thoughts but then she realized the room was way too quiet even with the kids around.
She turned to her side and found Aaron and Aila seated at the corner of the bed with their hands in between their legs.
"Oh, my babies... I'm sorry! I raised my voice at you" Nalda apologized and we sat in their middle resting their heads on her chest.
"Momma, are you okay? Did we make you angry?" Aila asked in her tiny voice.
Nalda chuckled.
"Of course not... There's no way, I'll be angry at my babies. Momma's just under a bit of stress but I'll be fine... So tell me, what are the both of you up to?" Nalda asked excitedly breaking off the hug.
Aila jumped out of the bed with her face down. She fidgeted.
Nalda looked at Aaron hoping he would say something but he shrugged.
"Aila, what is it? Tell me" She asked.
"Promise you won't get mad?"
Nalda inhaled and smiled.
"I won't. So tell me, what's bothering you?"
Aila leaned closer and whispered in Nalda's ears.
"Momma, everyone in my class is going on a field trip and everyone was told it was compulsory," Aila said in a low tone.
Nalda stared at her and laughed.
"Come on baby, were you nervous cos of this? Why would I be angry about you going on a field trip? Aaron, are you going as well?" She asked.
Aaron nodded negatively.
"Ours comes next! But momma I don't have to go. I know how sad you get whenever we tell you about such things and I wasn't planning on telling either" He added.
The smile on Nalda's lips disappeared.
"What are you saying? Do I look that sad?" She asked calmly.
Aila and Aaron nodded.
"We heard you speaking with our homeroom teachers. You told them to exclude Aila and me from external trips" Aaron said.
Nalda stood up from where she was seated. She ran her fingers through her hair.
"Come on, that was like a year ago. I only said that cos you were both still very young and I didn't want anything to happen to you in my absence. I was only being careful" Nalda stated.
She carried Aila and placed her on the bed.
"The both of you listen to me carefully. I know how much these school trips mean to you and there's no way I'm hindering it henceforth. You can take my word for it, okay so don't hide things from me. It hurts to find out, you're both looking for out for me when you're still very little. Leave the worries to me, just go ahead and have fun like every one of your friends out there" Nalda said and they smiled brightly.
"Thank you, momma!" They chorused and hugged her.
Nalda patted their backs with a worried look on her face.
I don't know if I'm doing the right thing by letting her go. She said in her head.
'you can't hold them here forever. And there's no guarantee Damian might see them so just let them go before everyone begins to suspect your backup story' Celia cut in.
Nalda inhaled sharply as she had a flashback on the night she was rescued at the cliff.
FLASHBACK...
Six years ago.
Nalda opened her eyes and found herself on a soft bed with healing bruises all over her arms and legs.
She felt slight pains everywhere. She recalled what happened to her and burst into tears.
Her hands quickly went down her belly and she caressed it, crying. She thought she lost her baby.
Someone cracked the door open and walked in.
Nalda turned to her side swiftly.
"Who are you?" She asked in a shaky tone.
She thought he was one of Hazel's men.
Jerome walked up to the bed and smiled.
"You can relax. You're in safe hands! By the way, my name's Jerome and I'm a doctor, I checked up on you... Emm.." He pursed.
Nalda looked at him curiously.
"Why did you purse?" She asked in swiftly.
"Did you know you're pregnant?" He asked calmly.
Nalda gave him a dead curious look.
"Why? Did anything happen to my baby?" She asked as tears crowded her eyes.
"You almost lost your baby but he's safe now. Good thing you were saved on time. By the way, what's your name, and what happened to you? How did you end up on the cliff?" Jerome asked numerous questions.
Nalda looked away, she felt relieved finding out about her baby's safety but that didn't make her feel any better. Hazel might still be hunting down for her!
Nalda got out of the bed and walked to the window. She moved the curtains aside and looked through the window.
"Where's this place?" She asked turning to Jerome.
"Welcome to Ironwood Pack!" He responded and Nalda's brows raised in surprise.
Nalda nodded as she sighed in relief.
"You still don't want to tell me, what your name is?" Jerome asked.
Moon goddess, is this the new life I requested or you're just testing me again? I'm not falling prey for the second time. Nalda said in her head seriously and Jerome's mum walked into the room.
"Oh dear, you're awake. How do you feel now?" She asked and Nalda looked at her suspiciously.
She chuckled.
"Well, it's a good thing I saw you that day"
Nalda walked closer.
"You saw me?"
"Yeah, mum saw you at the cliff. It's a good thing she went hunting that very day. She saved you from getting eaten up by angry wolves" Jerome teased.
His mum walked to Nalda and walked her to the bed.
"I heard you're pregnant. Do you mind sharing your story with us? We might protect you from any external dangers if you're in one" She stated calmly.
Nalda looked into her eyes and saw a bit of sincerity and honesty in her words.
She cleared her throat after sitting down.
"My name's Alessia and it's true I'm pregnant with my mate's child. He's late. I'm just a widowed pregnant werewolf with no family relatives. I went searching for food in the woods when I fell off the cliff. I thought that was the end for me. Thank you!" Nalda said calmly in between tears.
Nalda didn't tell them her real identity so she doesn't get traced back to her pack.
I'll embrace this new identity. She said in her head with full determination.
FLASHBACK ENDS...
NEXT DAY...
Nalda dropped her kids off at the academy.
"Aila, bye-bye! I've prepared everything you will need for your trip. Just be a good girl and don't cause trouble, okay" Nalda said and pecked her forehead.
I think this is for the best. If Damian happens to show up here. He won't have an opportunity to cross paths with Aila or Aaron. Nalda said in her head with a smile.
Aaron pouted refusing to leave Nalda's side.
"Aaron, what's wrong? You don't look so happy. Will you be missing Aila that much? Well, you've got an extra five hours to spend with her before they leave" Nalda comforted.
Aaron's eyes were fixed on his lunchbox.
Nalda traced his gaze and laughed.
"Come on... Don't tell me you're jealous of your sister. I got her an extra lunchbox cos she won't be coming back today"
"Momma, she's just leaving for a day. Why's she getting all the special treatment?" He pouted.
Aila laughed from where she was standing.
"Come here..." Nalda said pulling him closer to her.
She took out a candy from her purse and secretly slid it into Aaron's hand.
"Are we good now?"
Aaron widened his eyes excitedly.
"Thank you so much, momma! Have a lovely day... I love you, bye-bye!" He said running to his class.
Nalda smiled shaking her head.
"Aila I didn't get a goodbye kiss from you"
Aila ran to her and pecked her cheeks.
" I love you, mum. Should I keep it from Aaron that I've got an extra candy as well" she laughed.
"Shhh! He can't find out else he's going to be furious... Our little secret, okay" Nalda whispered and Aila nodded with a bright smile as she left for her class.
Nalda walked back to her car and then a text message came in.
(VIPs are requesting for your presence)
Nalda read it and smirked.
"Coming right away" she smirked and threw her phone back into her purse, she didn't see the message from Aila's homeroom teacher.
BIG BANG CLUB...
This club is one of the VIP clubs in the Ironwood pack. Only the noble werewolves are allowed in.
"Do you think we'll be blessed with the incognito stripper?" One of the nobles asked.
Distant chattering was heard in the club.
Everyone anticipated to meet the incognito stripper.
The incognito stripper is the hottest stripper in Big bang club and she only shows up on special demands. She's a mask stripper and only the manager of the club knows what she actually looks like without her mask on.
Some strippers came up on stage and performed using stripper poles.
Everyone's faces had that disappointment look on. They were told the incognito stripper was performing today and that was the reason behind the massive crowd at the club.
After hours of waiting and wearing away time. The stage lights became dim and smokey.
The incognito stripper came up from underground holding tight to her pole, her legs curled up on the poles in a sexy way.
"It's incognito!!"
"It's her!"
Everyone cheered in excitement.
She smiled after coming in, in her legendary pose.
Minutes later after her great performance on stage, she disappeared like smoke.
Some VIPs approached the manager of the club.
"Name your price. Just allow get a audience with incognito!"
"I'll give you double the price he's offering you. Just let me meet incognito"
So many VIPs bugged the manager.
The manager exhaled deeply.
"Y'all know the protocol. Incognito has already chosen who to spend the night with. She picks you, you don't pick her. I'll excuse myself" he said and walked away.
They VIPs groaned in disappointment.
The manager went into the secret office at his office.
"You're getting more offers as the day goes by. Are you sure you're not going to accept any?" He asked pouring himself a glass of wine.
"I will when I see the one" incognito said with a smirk sipping from her glass of wine with her beautiful mask on.
Nalda got to the pack house and her phone beeped with a text message.
She took out the phone and then she saw the text from Aila's homeroom teacher.
(GOOD DAY MA'AM, I'M TEXTING TO INFORM YOU ON THE LOCATION OF THE SCHOOL TRIP ACCORDING TO THE PARENTAL RULES. THE SCHOOL TRIP WILL BE TAKING PLACE AT MOON SHADOW PACK. THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING YOUR DAUGHTER JOIN THIS ADVENTURE. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT COS SHE'S IN SAFE HANDS)
Nalda staggered in shock.
"Moon shadow pack! Why?" She gasped.
Just then Jerome's Gemma and Beta head out of the pack house.
Nalda ran to them.
"Is Alpha Damian coming over today?" She asked with a smile.
"Not really. Alpha Damian had some emergencies so he couldn't make it but he sent his beta instead"
"His beta? That means he's stayed back" Nalda mumbled and ran back to her car.
Get got in and shut her eyes.
"I have to go fetch Aila. I can't allow her go there" Nalda said anxiously and she placed a call across to Aila's homeroom teacher as she started the engine.
"Have y'all left the academy?"
"Yes ma'am, we left the academy an hour ago" she informed and Nalda stepped on the brakes in shock.
