10:30 a.m.
Inside Black's Palace
I entered the house with shaking steps. My eyelids felt heavy and were dropping down slowly as I kept walking towards my room. I was very hungry; my head was aching like hell. I didn't have any energy left in me as I was so exhausted and famished. Suddenly a maid approached me.
“Ma'am, Young Master had called you.” She spoke while looking down. I nodded and slowly headed towards his room. I knocked the door.
"Come in"
I opened the door and entered his room.
"You ca-"
Dylan stopped in midway as he saw me shaking. He practically ran to me and held my arms.
"WHAT HAPPEN TO YOU?"
I shook my head in denial but all of a sudden everything started spinning around me and before I could process, I blacked out.
End of Evelyn's P.O.V.
Dylan's P.O.V.
I had called Evelyn so as to talk to her about my new project. Today I had a meeting with my new clients at my hotel so I came back home a little late. I quickly called a maid and told her to inform Evelyn to meet me.
I was busy stretching myself as I was too tired when Eve entered the room. I got up and was about to tell her about her job when I saw her shaking while holding the door knob. Her eyes were puffy and swollen, her face was pale, her eyes had dark-spots under them and her lips looked chapped. Her cheeks were red and bruised up.
I became shocked while looking at her. I was about to ask her but she immediately fainted in my arms. I quickly picked her up and placed on my bed. I grabbed the glass kept on the table and sprinkled some water droplets on her face. She squinted her eyes and slowly turned her gaze towards me. I sighed in relief when I saw her awake.
"You okay?"
Evelyn nodded her head making me surprised. She then started getting up. I helped her and made her sit comfortably.
"Haven't you eaten anything today?" I asked her softly as I immediately understood the matter while looking at her pale face. She looked sick. But what she said next left me shock.
"What did you wanted to talk about Boss?"
Her voice was cold while her eyes were completely empty. She was staring me blankly. Her face had no emotions.
'What happened to her?'
"I-I"
Words got stuck in my throat while looking at her emotionless face. We both stared at each other for I don't know how long. Suddenly a knock on the door grabbed both of our attention.
"Come in."
The door opened revealing Maria with a tensed face. She was looking at Evelyn worriedly making me confused. She then looked at me. I raised an eyebrow while looking at her searching for an answer for her sudden arrival.
"Young Master, I just came here to see Evelyn. I heard she got fainted." She spoke nervously while looking down. I looked at Evelyn.
"I am fine. Don't worry." She replied with a smiling face.
"But why you came so late?"
I became stunned by her words.
"WHAT? YOU CAME JUST NOW?"
I screamed making Maria flinched but Evelyn didn't even move an inch. She was still as corpse.
"You wanted to say something Boss?" She again asked me coldly completely ignoring my words.
"Answer.my.question.first."
I spoke with clenched jaw while gripping her arms tightly. Eve nodded while staring me blankly.
"But why? Working time is-"
I couldn't completely my sentence as Eve clutched her head tightly. Maria immediately came towards her and held her.
"Evie, are you okay?"
Again, she blacked out.

12:30 p.m.
"WHY DID YOU DO THAT?"
I yelled furiously making Sophia shake in fear. After Evelyn had fainted, I immediately called Iris, my family doctor. She told me that she is too weak and it was probably because she hasn't eaten anything the whole day. I instantly understood who was behind all this. I quickly drove towards my office. I barged inside the security room and checked the CCTV footages. I saw how Sophia was embarrassing Eve in front of everyone. My blood started boiling in anger. After hearing her disgusting words, I instantly drove towards her house.
'HOW DARE SHE HURT MY EVE?'
I banged on the door loudly. Sophia quickly opened the door. Her eyes widened in fear when she looked at my raging form.
"Baby, I-I was just punishing her for misbehaving with you."
"AND WHO TOLD YOU TO DO THAT? DID I?"
I screamed fiercely with red eyes. She shook her head weakly while looking down. I immediately held her arms and slammed her on the wall harshly making her gasp in shock.
"Don't you dare cross your line? I had already told you how much Evelyn is important for my company. Try these jealous bitchy games on other sluts, not on my Eve. Understood?"
Sophia glared me with teary-eyes.
"Your Eve? Since when she became yours?" I tightened my grip on her making her whimpered.
"Since the day I landed my eyes on her."
"Dylan, I was just punishing her for yelling at you. If we behave like this with her, she won't dare to misbehave with us ever." Sophia tried to explain me. I scoffed.
"You don't have to take the command of her in your hands. I can deal with her myself and besides she is my wife."
Hearing my words Sophia started shedding crocodile tears. I sighed in annoyance.
"Dylan but you also hurt her. And I was just helping you."
"I don't need it and I never even asked for it. Being her husband and Boss, only I have the full rights on her nobody else."
Suddenly Sophia pushed me back and glared me.
"And I have the full right on you which means I have the right on her too and I can do any damn thing what I want to with that fucking bitch." She said while smirking at me. I lost my temper and pushed her on the floor harshly. She looked at me in shock.
"NO ONE IS BORN YET ON THIS EARTH TO CLAIM HIS/HER RIGHT ON DYLAN BLACK!!"
I bent down and grabbed her hair in a fist making her screamed in pain.
End of Dylan's P.O.V.
Dylan lost his sanity as soon as he heard Sophia's words about claiming him. But her next words only added fuel in the blazing fire. His eyes turned blood-red and face darkened. His veins were popping out from his neck and his nose started flaring due to anger. Dylan then spoke in a raucous voice while digging holes in her body with his burning orbs.
"I am warning you Sophia, don't you dare to touch Eve from now on. She is mine and only mine. I had endeavoured so much to catch my Genie. She is the golden asset for my company. I had waited for fucking two years for her. And now when I finally got her, I won't allow anyone to even a lay a single finger on her. I am leaving you but next time if I found a single scratch on her body, I won't even hesitate to burn you alive."
Sophia was shaken to her core as she heard his atrocious words. Dylan then pushed her away and stormed off the house leaving her with a broken heart.
Three weeks had passed. Evelyn was becoming more colder day by day. Her colleagues didn't talk to her much but they were concerned for her as she was turning paler and weaker. She never eats during the lunchtime. Dylan knew about everything but still didn't react as he feared unwanted attention.
Because of the deeds of his so-called girlfriend, Evelyn had already come in limelight. Now Dylan didn't want to stress her more and create more scenes so he had secretly ordered Maria to pack lunch for her as he knew after that huge embarrassment, she won't even drink a single drop of water of his office. He was well aware of her self-esteem.
Evelyn used to eat her lunch in the garden area as she never wasted food. She had lost her appetite but would never let her Mom's efforts go in vain. Yes, Evelyn had started calling Maria as her mom. Her own mother never even cared if she had eaten anything or not but that woman took care of her like her own child. Although Evelyn didn't tell her anything about that day but Maria knew something was bugging her off as she was slowly becoming too silent and gloomy. She rarely spoke a word which didn't even went unnoticed by Dylan too.
Once Dylan called Evelyn in his office to discuss about a project. He then ordered her to prepare the presentation for his meeting. Evelyn kept listening to him with a cold face. He was staring her all the time eagerly waiting for her reply but she just nodded at his every command obediently and then quietly left the room. Dylan became stunned by her actions as he was expecting that she would blast at him like every time but it never came.
That day he understood that they all had finally
