Introduction

“I will give you space to adjust to your position...to understand the true scope of your power because you are a strong woman, Hellcat, and you will not be satisfied any other way. When you come to me it will not be through any means of manipulation, any bargain or power on my own part, but by your own initiative.” His hand cupped her face and his thumb ran over her bottom lip, “but, I am a man who gets what he wants,” he told her, “and you will come to me.”
Tianna Koehler was just a normal, everyday woman, overworked and over stressed, until she stumbled through the portal. Thrown into a world reminiscent of Earth’s long ago past she quickly becomes dependent on the kind doctor of a small village to teach her the language and keep her safe from the villagers suspicions. When a unit of daemon invade and begin kidnapping locals she knows she owes the doctor her life, and volunteers to take his place as their prisoner.
She doesn’t know what to expect from the dangerous and sinfully attractive daemon leader, Xor’annan, or why he would need to kidnap humans at all. When he leads her to a room with directions to heal a sick infant or die with her Tianna decides that the daemon are as cruel as she had been told. Now bound to the tiny girl Tianna must unravel the mysteries surrounding the baby, because her failing condition is the least threat to the infant. And somehow Xor’annan is tied to the core of it all.

x2c3 A bit too much science fiction to my taste. Might be more appealing to those who prefer science fiction from a more traditional scenery.

x2c3 I tried, I really tried, but I cannot get my head around this story. It is way too slow moving for me.

  • I have often had issues with books or movies or stories in general that fell flat in the idea of a portal to other worlds, keeping a consistent personality or logical personal changes within characters/mindsets, court style writing, intrigue/interaction that isn't too dull or...plain stupid, any type of nefarious scheming or plotting and the evil bad guy being "smart" but actually is stupid, and slow burn romance...this book has it all...and it's FABULOUS!!! I love everything you've done with this story. It was easy to follow, believe, and relate to while also throwing us for loops and absolutely killing it on the dialog!!! I especially loved the comparisons that she made with what she found familiar in her world and how she found parallels. Bigfoot, vampires, HIGHSCHOOL!!! I love all of it! I will be reading the rest of your works and if I figure out where to find it, I will want your books in hard copies...I love your writing style and your imagination. You've got a new diehard fan!
