chapter 2

"April, shut up or get out but remember you can’t have both and it’s your damn choice which one you choose.” Mr Hess scolded me as he fixed his glasses glaring at me.

Who I may add hates me with pure passion. He is such a sexy guy and has those twinkling blue eyes. He is twenty-four, almost my age. He is only six years older, well after I turn 18 next month. What? He is almost my age.

"But I didn’t say anything,” I told him as I tried my best to look innocent while shrugging my shoulders and lifting my hands helplessly.

"Then who was it?" I wasted no time as I pointed at Winter. I knew he was gonna let it slide. She is his favourite student of all.

"Both of you are out of my class," he said. I looked at Winter only to see her pointing at me. Why did she do that? I have to teach her everything. Wow.

"Why did you do that?" I hissed under my breath glaring at her out of the corner of my eye.

"I had to,” she hissed back sounding really annoyed. No. She doesn’t get to burn me and have that attitude. Oh no.

"You had to? You had to? Seriously?” I screamed at her, shoving her arm a bit.

"Yes! You don't understand!” She screamed back at me with tears working their way down her face.

"Make me understand!” I said shoving her again but not too much just for her to sway a little. By now everyone’s eyes were on us.

She cried more, her shoulders shaking. "I'm sorry," she said making me cry too.

"Ok, guys sit down and calm down. What’s wrong?" Asked Mr. Hess, he looked super concerned as he came and tried to calm us down.

"You want to know what is wrong? Mm?" I said seemingly angry. He looked scared. I’m sure he did not want to get involved in some teen stuff. He shakes his head "No."

"Good answer. Now move out of my space." I said as I continued to write wiping off my tears knowing he forgot why we were fighting in the first place. He moved and went to the front of the class. I extended my hand to Winter for a high five.

I looked at her with no trails of tears. "Good job, we are getting good at this. Keep up the good work." I mouthed to her.

Well, my dad was a lawyer and Winter’s dad was a doctor. We did this because we thought we didn’t need education as I see it, education to me is something that takes almost all the space in your brain but in the end, it won't work like it’s no use. You end up getting a job that you did not even study for but you take it because you need the money.

I was interrupted in my rumble by Shaun, one of the school’s jocks.

"Hey," he said smirking at me while he bit his lip ring. Yeah, I know my school has no rules. it does but no one bothers to follow them and none of the teachers is making sure that people follow the rules.

"Yeah," I said rolling my eyes. A typical player. He doesn't even know I find lip rings very unsexy. No offence, but busting your own skin is not cute.

"Are you free tonight?"

"Yeah, why?" I asked giving him my million-dollar smile. I felt like he was about to give me the best news I that had heard the whole day.

"I'm hosting a party at my house. Want to come? Free booze?"

I nodded and squealed clapping my hands in excitement. I am one of the popular girls at school and I am well-known for my love of alcohol. I know alcohol is not good for your liver and blah blah blah, but that’s how I got my fame. I was, well still am, a die-hard at drinking. My looks were just a bonus.

"We will be there, honey, count on it.” I threw a kiss at him playfully.

...................................

"Hey sweetheart," said dad once I entered the car. He takes me to school every morning then comes and takes me home every afternoon after school. Our school doesn’t have a bus.

"Hey dad," I kissed him on the cheek.

"So, dad, you look so handsome. Wait! Did you get a new haircut?" I asked, smiling innocently at him.

"Yeah, you could say that." He says looking at himself in the mirror before halting and turning to me.

"No, you are not getting what you want," he states. I laughed, throwing my head back at being caught.

"Don't be such a bore, you don't even know what I want," I say rolling my eyes while crossing my arms and pouting. He was being unfair honestly.

"I don't need to know and stop rolling your eyes at me. That shit scares the hell out of me." He says focusing on the road in front of him acting all serious and huffy.

"Dad please." I place my palms together in a pleading manner as I try to make my eyes glassy.

"No."

"Please. You don't even know what I'm pleading for. It could be just money," I said trying to reason with him.

He wasn't even looking at me, he is trying so hard not to fall for my tricks. "April, no."

I sucked my bottom lip and put on my best puppy face. I bet I look like I’m drowning but I knew my handsome daddy will fall for it.

He took a glance at me and sighed. "Fine. What do you want?"

I clapped my hands happily "Yay! Can I go to a party?"

"But sweetheart you know how you get when you are drunk." I’ve had times when I get so drunk that I don’t go to school for like a week because I’m too embarrassed.

"But daddy please," I said.

"Alright, it’s fine you can go. By the way, I have a date on Sunday." He says looking at me and smiling.

I smiled back.

"Oh? What day is today?" I asked. Suddenly feeling like going to sleep. I felt tired and drained.

"Monday. Who the hell does not know weekdays?" I roll my eyes at him but keep quiet.

"Sweetheart, are you okay?" He asked. I immediately felt like crying. It’s the way he asked me in a voice laced with so much care and warmth.

"These fucking shitty hormones," I say releasing a sigh as I place my feet on the dashboard. We both laughed a bit.

"Aww, it’s ok. Do you feel like hitting something?" He asks sweetly but I know better than to fall for his tricks.

"Yeah," I mumble as I nod my head.

"Oh, wait till we get home. Please don't ruin my car. I don't need it has a dent," He said smiling. I clapped my hands in excitement jumping up and down.

...........................

The girls came to my place to get ready. Now we are about to leave. I'm in the kitchen eating and waiting for them. They said they were ready about 30 minutes ago.

"Guuuuys!" I shouted. I was getting restless. I hate waiting, I just don't have the patience. Especially if I’m going somewhere where I know it’s going to be fun. I just feel like I’m missing out.

"We are coming," Winter responds. Soon enough I hear steps creaking coming my way. I roll my eyes and mumble to myself “Finally.”

"Let’s release everything tonight let loose," Winter says giggling throwing her hands in the air.

"Fine with me," I say with my hands up in a surrender motion.

"Everything is always fine with you if it involves alcohol," says Autumn.

"Everything is always fine with you if it involves your mate," I master my comeback.

"So, you're saying alcohol is your lover?"

I shrug my shoulders walking fast as I hear the music. The party was near my house so we didn't take a car.

"I don't know why you are hurrying because I'm wearing heels, dumbasses," mumbles Autumn as she fails to catch up with us.

"I don't remember anyone saying you must wear them, Autumn, but because I'm a good person I will slow down," I say slowing down.

"Pssh, you’re a good person? I would be a bad person," states Winter rolling her eyes.

"I'm wounded," I say touching my heart and looking at her. As she opens her mouth to talk someone grabs me by the wrist. "Byeee," I shout before I'm dragged into the house. I know that's the last time I see them tonight.

"Hey, beautiful." Someone breathes on my neck. I don't know who said that but breathing down on people’s necks with rotten breath isn’t cool.

"Fuck off!" I elbowed the person in the gut.

They just laugh. "For you, I would."

I turn around to see an unfamiliar guy.

"Are you new?" I asked and he came closer to me which immediately set me off as a disgusting smell radiated from him.

He moves closer but I grab my nose but do not make it clear that I can’t stand him.

"You are getting off-topic now, sweet thang," and that was the end of the conversation for me.

This guy is irritating.

"Dude! Lay off. You stink. Go brush your teeth or something. Yuck!! I feel yesterday’s supper is coming." I rush to the bathroom and puke.

I instantly feel worse but ignore it and go party some more.

....................................

"More! More! More!” The crowd cheers as he undresses me taking off my shirt.

I lay my back on the count with only my lacy bra but clothed from waist to feet.

He places salt on my cleavage while looking straight into my eyes, not breaking eye contact.

His eyes are of a god. His eyes are deep gray, the same colour as a full moon. Who is he? Alcohol for once has my tongue-tied.

He pours the shot on my belly and takes a lemon placing it in my mouth thinking about what I'm gonna do when he comes and gets it. His tongue pulls the

whole shot. I smile arching my back with my legs propped up. The crowd cheered for more.

I feel cold and salty lips yet rough against mine. It’s like this is not supposed to happen but we are forcing it, yet the crowd is clueless. I know he feels what I feel because he pulls back. I take my top and stagger to the door only to see dad.

"Daddy" I clap excitedly launching myself at him for a hug.

"April," he says in a warning tone.

I giggle at him covering my mouth. "You are so serious," I pointed at him then burst into a fit of giggles.

"Why are you in your bra, April?"

I see his eyes changing to white meaning his wolf is surfacing.

"Hey, Wolfie. Long time no see," I giggled at him.

He smiles. "Promise me that when we get home you will tell me what happened," he says.

"Scouts honour, Wolfie." I signal the Scouts honour sign.

We walked home with dad giving me a piggy ride. I started singing random notes.

I feel so alone.

It’s like I’m living alone in this tainted world.

My friends love me.

The school kids love me.

Daddy loooves me.

I’m popular.

Guys love me.

But it’s just not enough!!!

I need his love!!.

I need him to feel whole!!.

A tear escapes my eyes as I murmur ‘him’.

Daddy drops me on the couch.

"Bad doggy. Don't drop people," I say pointing a finger at him.

He crouches next to me with his blue eyes. "What happened?" he asks as I feel the heat in his hand.

I shake my head.

“But you promised. Scouts honour," he says.

"I'm not a scout, duuh," I say. Then I hit the couch with my head sleeping.
