(Ch. 124) During the confrontation in the throne room Vrehan's dragon Vlad was sitting behind the throne and in front of the door. Maybe he's there in order to block the door to the vault from opening. Vrehan often has him in a cage, I don't think he's caged now, but maybe he's chained. It seems he's never allowed to just be loose. Vrehan doesn't have enough control over him.

(Ch. 124) I'm not sure if Glahad is so depressed because the emperor really did die already or if it's because he knows that the emperor is dying and beyond the point of help. But it seems Cassandra is able to rally him. Maybe that means it's not over yet. I hope he will join the fight! Vrehan is going to be shocked seeing Cassandra walk out of the vault with him! And he's going to be so pissed too, another imperial dragon taking to her.

This is amazing. I was holding my breath as i was scrolling. Please let the fourth prince be an ally, so both dragon and prince could help the sister 😩 I am getting anxious over Cassandra and the absence of Kairen😫

Also I think Kian sensed Cassandra and that's why he took off! I'm thinking there is some kind of underground tunnel system or something under the lake. And that is where she's been. Also with all those guards still surrounding the lake Vrehan must still think there's a possibility she's alive whether he actually knows the truth or not which I dont think he does. I wonder if he really thinks she is a witch.

(Ch. 122) I knew Shareen was going to throw that spear! I hoped she'd plunge it into Vrehan's chest, but I'll take what I can get. I still think the horn was a false alarm and just a way to get them to the throne room (and away from the lake) into Vrehan's trap. He's still underestimating them though, or maybe he's overestimating himself. Kairen and Shareen just literally fought through an entire army to get into the palace and now he thinks 200 men can hold them back.

(Ch. 123) I knew Kian had sensed his mama! He's so freaking cute too! I'm so curious about the Water God now. Clearly the lake is vast and spreads out underground, I'm wondering it it actually connects to other water systems and possibly the ocean too, hence the salt. If so I'm wondering if the Water God came there in response to Cassandra's mermaid chant during the New Year Celebrations.
