They think they know what they’re doing and how to make the kingdom look better, when in reality, they lack knowledge due to them staying BEHIND the wall (safe haven). Cessi is right, they hide and refuse to participate. Unfortunately, their pride and riches are what will cause their downfall.

I'm so happy Cessi's brothers are there to support them. this chapter is everything!!! it was so heart warming to see ashen be vulnerable about potential fatherhood. my husband (then boyfriend) and I had such a similar conversation when we found out i was expecting. it’s one of the proudest times I’ve been of him.
