70 I like that they mentioned that Kassian only remember having his dad around when he was a baby and even the servants confirm it. Obviously we all knew Kairen was eternally faithful ("I don't want anyone else.") but it shows that he was an amazing dad and did it on his own before our Cass came back. It also shows how caring they are as parents to not want to subject their kids to the true horrors they had to face when Cassandra gave up her life to save the Empire and the Water God saved her in return. .... but let's be honest Darsan was definitely conceived that night she returned so.

First I am loving this book!!! I am thinking Jisel is Petra's daughter from a rape her brother forced her to endure. I am hoping that Ashen has a surviving brother who also escaped and only returns when he gets word of Ashen being king. Jisel referring to herself as a Dragon daughter would imply she is royalty too. She would also be born with the dragon’s blood. The most obvious assumption is the Second Prince fathered her. He colluded with the Eastern King against his father for the throne in TWGF, but that seems too easy! And we all know Jenny doesn’t do easy….lol….
