Love TWGF, Really enjoying this book so far. However I just realised something. In the first book it was stated that the women didn’t have dragons, but they had special abilities only - the Empress could shoot fireballs out of her mouth (that was one of them I remember). The men only received dragon dragon that’s how they knew if it was going to be a boy because the dragon would lay an egg. Is it this different because Cessis mother had a relation to the water god/dragon? The girls in the family seem to be able to have a dragon well but from Ceccis family only, not Tessas. Maybe because her mother was brought back from the dead by water water God? Thoughts :) !

Why books and not jewelry or gold, is the white king's kingdom broke and why a princess in of the dragon empire were there no eligible maidens in his kingdom? How is that all of Cassandra and Kairen's children have dragons when that has never happened before?And lastly why doesn't Cessilia stutter when she reads? When the performances were first mentioned I thought maybe she'd sing and do a "water show" like her mom since they're surrounded by water, but now I'm thinking maybe she'll be a storyteller and tell about a boy and girl and their tragic love story from the girls point of view, never mentioning that her and Ashen are the boy and girl.

Dang poor Ashen. I know that pain all to well, it's a shame we can't pick our parents. Growing up being rejected by one of the two people who should love you unconditionally makes it hard for you to trust anyone or to let people in. Until one day you muster up the strength to forgive them and move on with your life and you meet someone you don't mind letting in. I am glad he opened himself up to her and showed her a glimpse of his past it proves how much he loves her.
