    I have a theory about why Jisel was an alibi for cessi, Joseph murdered Vena and nobody would think she did it if she is the alibi for cessi. there was no mention of Jisel being present during cessi performance, and she only showed at the end clapping. Jisel clearly gave Vena some advice about the king (albeit bad since he ignored her request to dance.) that's why Vena eyes kept going from her to the king. Vena probably confronted her and said she would tell people things about their agreement and Jisel "being a monster too as she said" killed Vena to keep her quiet.

    Makes more sense in a way : how could have Ashen be so strong without the dragon's blood the War God has? To be trained by him gives skills, but not the godly strength and healing skin.     hmm.. so if ashen really loved cessi as he have claimed, he would’ve sent his mistress away to prove that love too also because cessi clearly doesn’t like Jisel, but he hasn’t, why? and now this with the poison. so is she really a mistress or someone who just works with him under the cover of being the mistress, also because jisel told cessi that she’s not her enemy. 🤔 can’t wait to see what is up and I just really hope cessi and ashen would get together soon haha! but I understand cessi!
