    Omg they're going back to the Rain tribes home!!!! Another adventure awaits! Hope they can send word to Cassie and Mie and everyone meet up there. Love Tessa's mouth in this chapter, she was spot on! Cessi is already putting in the work and is not even Queen yet. I suspected Jisels past to be sad but that's horrible what happened to her.

    So Jisel is not a dragon daughter in the literal sense, but just a daughter of the Dragon Empire. That’s a big revelation, as is her paternity, now I’m dying to know who her dad was in the Rain Tribe. And how could she possibly become a King’s mistress considering what was revealed of her past? You don’t survive that type of mental and physical abuse from 2 parents unscathed then travel across nations and somehow find yourself under a Kings protection. The sexual abuse is traumatic enough. So how? Too much of a 360. If what happened to her is true, it’s terrible, but there is still a lot more to uncover. I don’t trust her at all.

    Wow, such a great chapter. So…Jisel can’t be a dragon (or have a dragon) since her dad was not a dragon prince, right?? I want to feel for Jisel but I still don’t like her (maybe I trust Cessi’s instincts too much). Something feels off with Jisel’s story-how did her dad buy himself out of slavery?? Also, sounds like no one from the rain tribe got away without scars.

I remember in TWGF when Cassie explained her (and her sisters) tribes history to Kareen (Imperial Concubine Mother), that Cassie had a thought: that if the Dragon Empire had been responsible for her tribes ruin - it would make her and Kairen’s relationship a little bit awkward...... I guess they’ve been together too long for it to be awkward now! lol.

    Jisel has gumption for sure. She is such a mystery to me. She’s made so many implications I don’t know which lead to follow 😂 And what is her ultimate end game? She can never be Ashen’s Queen, she will never be a leader or chosen by his people for anything of significance, which is why her motives have nothing to do with gaining power, like the other tribes/councilors, so what??? I just hope they don't get caught and accuse Cessi of cheating in this competition.
