  • So very, very insightful! Definitely a glimpse into Ashen’s deep hatred for the dead King, and although there is obviously more to the story, this tidbit is the foundation to his trauma. Having to face losing his mom and brother so young, I’m amazed he was still able to be open and vulnerable with Cessi and her family. Seems like the only real father figure he’s ever known was TWG, and even he sent him away, back to face the root of all his pain alone. I’m starting to understand Ashen’s character even more. Great chapter Jenny!

    if cessi’s scales are back to normal there’s no way Jisel could have her under her control because of the soul tie between dragon and master.. but doesn’t mean jisel doesnt have a dragon.. remember earlier in the book when the girls went to the village and those villagers swore up and down they drugged those bandits and tied them up? mmhm.. then they were “burned”. jisel most definitely has a dragon but it’s not cessi’s.. hopefully the water God deemed it time for Cece’s return.. and quite honestly not only is it more than time so they can see her master two dragons of basically different elements but cessi deserves her companion after all she’s been through especially in the eastern kingdom. Krai is magnificent as always but they both need each other and very soon

    ok, I cant stand it! I dont whats worst ,waiting year n half so I cn binge read in one day ,or this soap opera of being tease with bits of story. You would not believe how talented you are between Lady Daphnoir, I refuse to touch more than your short stories, till I finish these two. Your talent is the layers that you give to the characters of your story. To be honest, I have over 1500 books. I love textile, the smell , turning the page..... and yes, I do reread my books! Everyone always ask me that, once youve read get rid of. So deal with husband, no more buy , cause no more room. Glad I found you, and if I get to sneak one in ,hows he going tell the difference 🤣💜

    it doesn’t say she is coming from royalty though? her mother may be from the Dragon Empire and as her dad is from the Rain Tribe, maybe this is more to do with the Water Dragon and hence she stated they may be cousins? both the girls mothers father is a chieftain so Jisel’s dad possibly being traumatised and abused them with all his knowledge could have damaged Jisel and a methaphor of Krai not being the only monster maybe?

I remember in TWGF when Cassie explained her (and her sisters) tribes history to Kareen (Imperial Concubine Mother), that Cassie had a thought: that if the Dragon Empire had been responsible for her tribes ruin - it would make her and Kairen’s relationship a little bit awkward...... I guess they’ve been together too long for it to be awkward now! lol.
